What's the deal with Babe?
Is Aunt Babe a regular or not? According to the official EE website she is a regular but Annette Badland has made few appearances this year..

She's in the spoilers for the nearby future warning Stan to not cause trouble for the Carters now they're all back together but other than that I really don't know.

Where does it say she's a regular?
If anything, she seems to be the Carter equivalent of Aunt Sal. |

I was hoping she would be a regular. I want to see her interact and plot with Cora.

She has a profile most regular characters have them and Aunt Sal did not have one. Annette Badland may be tying up other projects at present before she appears full time in EastEnders. |

Thing she will be just a filler character for when there are a lull in stories or when the regulars are on holiday

I don't think she can be called a regular character, not yet anyway she's barely been onscreen and does not live on the square she's a recurring character at the minute.
I dont think there's any need for her personally she adds nothing to the Carter family dynamics and is just a carbon copy of Big Mo. The show was in need of another older lady but i think Pam Coker is a better choice she seems lovely and exactly the type of character the show as lacking. We don't need another wheeling, dealing Del-boy style criminal granny, Big Mo is bad enough. |

Get rid of Big Mo... Babe is far more interesting.

I thought I would love Aunt Babe but I can't warm to her. Her and Cora annoys me so much. Big Mo, Dot and Pam are brillant IMO.

Hopefully it means they're being a bit more realistic about not all of the characters have to live within 2 metres of one another.

If she ever does become a regular, The Carters Christmas karaoke song this year will be one of her own songs.
"Aunty Baby" slip a sable under the tree, for me I've been an awful good girl, Aunty baby So hurry down the chimney tonight. |

I haven't liked her at all based on what we've seen so far. The actress is generally good but for some reason she's really bad in this role. Maybe it's the accent she's using but I find her very difficult to comprehend even when I rewind her scenes. The character has so far been nothing more than a Big Mo rip off. I'll give her a bit more time to properly get to grips with the role but she's made such a weak impression on me I'd forgotten about her until I saw this thread. I do think they've over done it with the Carters. Aunt Babe and Lee have so far been surplus to requirement but that may change in the future. As I said in another thread I think Shirley and Tina hinder rather than help the Carter family. I don't see what was wrong with Mick, Linda, Nancy, Johnny, Stan and maybe a fresh new sibling for Mick unrelated to current characters. I just don't get the Shirley fixation DTC has. Sorry.

If you are saying here she is regular then why start a thread asking if she is a regular?

So we now need permission from you to start these types of threads?
They were just wondering why vaslav created a thread asking if Babe is a regular and then when someone responds that they think she isn't, vaslav says "But she is a regular" which is basically answering her own question. |

But the idea of a question thread is that you're supposed to be asking the question to others to help answer your question. If you're asking a question you know the answer to then why ask it and bump it later on? |

Yeah I get what you're saying but people can alert the mods if they're sick of seeing multiple threads
Also I really don't think anything as petty as this is worth getting the mods involved, I think we can all sort this out by ourselves
