Smoothies
I'm looking for some nice simple but tasty smoothie recipe ideas.
No Pineapple or avocado based ones though. I can't stand either of them. Unless they are very minor to to recipe. I have already made a raspberry and banana smoothie which was quite nice but a bit bland. |

What I put in mine:
banana frozen mixed berries (raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, red currant) kiwi Greek yogurt whole milk water olive oil almonds squeeze of lemon juice I don't have all of these things every time of course, but I always try to have the almonds, yogurt, and olive oil with some of those fruits in the smoothie. The taste of olive oil isn't detectable in the smoothie. |

I sometimes add a little cordial to pep them up. It works almost like a seasoning, bringing the flavours to life without adding extra sugar. Vanilla extract is another one, goes well with peaches or bananas. Otherwise, I love a mango lassi: just tinned mango pulp and yoghurt. Most brands of the pulp have added sugar, sadly.

Mango or peaches is my favourite. Bung in some oats and frozen yoghurt and blitz.
I had a lovely drink in Sydney made from green apples. |
