Three Ultimate Internet SIM 200 1 month

Hello all, I have a question about the Three sim only deals, if I were to purchase this sim only deal, does it roll over every month allowing me to always have unlimited data?

And can you cancel this contract at any time you want?

Thank you in advance!

It works the same way every contract does.

You pay £12.90 every month and in return you get 200 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited data. This refreshes every month automatically and the payment is made via direct debit.
When you want to cancel you need to give 30 days notice.

Thanks for that Jabba! I'm thinking of moving from PAYG as it's a lot easier and also cheaper, and am I correct in saying contract has higher priority on the network over PAYG?

And when does the start date come into affect, when you purchase the sim or when you activate the sim in the phone?

When you buy the SIM I believe.

Not sure about priority. I'm not aware of any system like that but I know other networks set priority between PAYG and Contract.

Three does not operate a priority system.

O2 are the only known network that do this to prioritise demand for their own customers and 3rd party Giffgaff users.

Three do operate a priority system. Everybody does.

3 have multiple priority systems based on type of data and the type of customer - mobile broadband customers get data priority over non mobile broadband. P2P and tethering is also throttled. PAYG is AFAIK not a distinction the system cares about.

The start date for the contract will be the day the SIM becomes active, which will vary depending on whether you bought the contract in a store or online. In-store purchases will activate straight away, online orders vary depending on where you bought it from but typically will be the date of expected delivery.

The actual billing date however will be completely different. The billing date is the date your bill is generated as well as the date your call and SMS allowance is refreshed. This is "up to nine days" after your contract starts and your SIM is activated:

Most important things - allowances, add-ons, and of course payment - will revolve around your billing date rather than your activation/contract start date. However cancelling the contract is based on your activation date not your billing date though in this case it's not really relevant, since you can cancel (well, give 30 days notice) from day one.

Regarding this tariff, it's interesting that the Ultimate Internet SIM 600 is offered with both 1 month and 12 month contract options (the 12 month being £3 cheaper a month), but the Ultimate Internet SIM 200 is only offered as a 1 month option - i.e. there's not a cheaper version of it in exchange for a customer commiting to them for 12 months.

Probably because offering unlimited data for under £10pm probably isn't the best idea if you're looking to make a profit.
