I have to say I stalk twitter every day to see if someone has tweeted a picture of the new candidates filming!

I think it would be good, it should be some time soon, I will start a filming thread when we do start seeing pictures / tweets which shows is the candidates and tell us what some of the tasks are about

I have to say, I think I'm going to be really disciplined with myself about not finding anything out about this series before it starts. I prefer to go in not knowing very much, but for someone as nuts about The Apprentice as I am, it's very difficult to avoid seeing pictures of the candidates or something. I usually weaken and at least look at the candidates' names before it starts. The only series that I have been really, really disciplined about that is Young Apprentice Series 2 - and that went on to be my favourite series, so definitely an omen there!

I think if you know who the candidates are, you go in with a bit of an opinion of them already formed. I prefer to have a completely clean slate from the start. I used to watch everyone's auditions and things, but then I realised that I missed the days when I was only a casual viewer and went in completely blind to it all.

I reckoned they would have started by now but I suppose it won't be on until October or something. I remember a few years ago, it was on at that time before Christmas, I think it was Season 6. I think its a good time for it actually, its just been a big gap between each series, probably about 18 months from the start of 9 to the start of next series. I wonder if it will be the last season; I hope it goes down the route of having more business aware people as opposed to funny but sort of useless characters like Jason etc. That's what I prefer but some people like the comedy aspect I guess.

Even series with sane businesspeople can have a comedy aspect. The scene in Series 1 when Saira shows James the wolf-jacket is, in my opinion, one of the funniest scenes there has ever been on The Apprentice. It's not even funny because anyone has messed up, it's funny because both Saira and James find it hilarious and can't stop laughing.
