I've just discovered this guy on youtube after listening to the NLT (which he was member with Kevin McHale - Glee)... I was really apprehensive about listening to an ex boyband member's solo songs, but his material is actually really good. He has talent for days. He has released 3 mixtapes and his debut was released last year.
He has been compared to JT, but frankly I think Travis is the much better singer and he's better looking too.

His material is R&B/pop. If you like the Weekend, Miguel, and Frank Ocean, I think you'll like Travis too.
It does seem sad that the only type of record deal he has had was with Perez Hilton, which was in 2010. He had a good platform (American Idol) but a terrible single - believe.. He is still quite young music industry-wise (25 yrs) so I suppose he can still blow up.
