Six months ago Ronnie, Sharon, Janine & Phil all ran the club and it featured in nearly every episode, but now since sharon opened the Albert and Ronnie bought the gym the club hasn't featured on screen in months. I wonder will they bring in new characters to run it and give it a new name or will they put something else in there like they did with the salon. Was thinking Ronnie & Roxy could run it together as that was the original intention when it was opened as R&R and at present roxy keeps moaning how she's unemployed. I also think Ronnie isn't suited to the gym and don't know why they had her buy it. I could also possibly see Kat & Alfie running the club ?

I think it should close down now.

I don't think we will see R&R again. Sharon has just opened her new bar so I think they are going to stop showing scenes in R&R.

It was longer than 6 months ago wasn't it? Have we seen it since Roxy was secretly meeting Ronnie there?

If they have no scenes there they can dismantle the set. If they need it for a storyline they can just reuse it. I think they have many sets that can be used for multiple scenes now.

I think Ronnie does suit the gym it just needs a Roxy paint job!

I thought it had been renamed Roxy's as the teens had discussed going to Roxy's in an episode last week but I've just realised they were discussing Roxy's house warming party!

That reminds me of "Poxy's" nail bar. Loved when Ronnie ribbed Roxy with that!

Why would they? It won't feature as much as it used to but the club has been there since the 1990s. No need to get rid of it.

Yeah, just got me thinking ther R&R has not been seen for a while. I am sure it will pop up soon. Someone is bound to have a party or a hen night there in the near future.

yeah i've a feeling you could be right as there is not much need for one now with the 2 bars, was thinking it could be turned into something else though maybe a pizzaria or a posh boutique something new that would fit the sheroditch vision that DTC has going

R&R seems to of got abandoned Sharon/Phil have the Albert now. Roxy/Ronnie seem to busy fighting over who Roxy dates these days and are never seen working. I think that club should be closed down and turned into a shop

One thing I will say, is while I understand three regular drinking establishments is too many, I can see them keeping around the R&R set because a lot of people between the age of 18-30 love nightclubs and I think it's a good idea to keep it around for scenes featuring younger characters, after all the teens aren't going to go to pubs all of the time, especially on the nights of birthday parties. This doesn't mean that I'm against the R&R being completely closed down, I just think it leaves a potential hole in the show that could end up being missed in the future, especially since so many scenes have featured in there in the last few years.

I think it will just fade away but I also think a nightclub should feature after hours. The younger set will want somewhere to go after drinking in the Albert and the Vic.

We'll probably see the R & R a few times during DTC's tenure but it probably won't be a regular drinking establishment again until a new executive producer is brought in when eventually DTC quits.

They should turn it into a strip club

I'd like to see Ronnie and Roxy take it on full time. It would fit with Ronnie's current MO which seems to be about getting to the top of the Mitchell tree and Roxy could do with something to keep her occupied.

I think it's been quietly dropped. Wish they would do the same with the black hole that is the gym.

Ronnie owning a grimy gym does sort of seem out-of-character. The 2007 Ice-Queen Ronnie would have that place looking quite sterile and cold to fit with her character of the time. But her facade has been chipped away now, her secrets spill out faster and we can all see her for what she is.

To be honest, I think her owning the down and dirty, blood-splattered gym could be an important part in Lucy's murder...

Spoiler
After Billy Converts to Islam he seeks to convert the R&R into Walfords first ever Mosque.

Maybe when Sharon cheats Phil out of the bar, which she inevitably will, the Mitchells will resurrect the R&R and give it a make over.

I'm glad the tacky waste of space that was R&R has been quietly phased out. It was awful.

It was always a pathetic excuse of a club anyway, whoever was in charge of it.
