EE Signal Box No Data Connection With Sky Hub SR101
Hi
I'm looking for some help with this... I've just taken delivery of an EE Signal Box as I get no mobile phone signal within our house otherwise. The box works fine for voice and texts but I get no data connection at all. Obviously I've got wifi, but some iphone features (visual voicemail being one of them) don't work over wifi. Also, whenever anyone comes to my house, they get no data unless I give them the wifi code. If anyone else has had this problem and can suggest a solution I would appreciate it. Thanks Tim |

Could be that some ports need opening. Strange for there to be differences between the SR101 and 102 though, as I thought the 102 just had the VDSL modem integrated and nothing more.

Update
I've called EE and they can't won't help, they referred me to Sky.
I've called Sky and they say they have no reports of this problem, so they will look into it for me. In the meantime, I've thought of a workaround solution which may work. I plan to connect the old Sagem Sky Router (which according to other forums, works fine with the EE Signal Box). I plan to use this as the router/ADSL modem but turn off the wireless capabiliuty (which is only G not N). I then plan to daisy chain the sky hub from this, effectively using the sky hub as a wireless access point. I'm not sure whether this will work, but as its forecast to rain all weekend, it'll give me something to do!! |

Sky are aware of the problem. And you are far from alone with it.
