Someone needs to lure him onto Skype and get him fired.

If they didn't fire the boy who has no acting talent at all for his Skype thing, and only slightly more coherent than Chewbacca, what makes you think they will get rid of Shane

Being in the Vic is probably horrible because you have to be in the background of everyone elses scenes as well as your own.

He has to be taken to Leslie Grantham extremes.

If Alfie and Kat are given a decent storyline I can't see either leaving yet but if either gets a better offer then one will go and the other will follow.

Hopefully they'll get some decent storylines and no cheating!

So you're not a guessing man then?

Will they be gone by the end of next year? Maybe? Maybe not!

Hopefully not!

He's not having to work as hard and still earning good money. With a family to keep he may well be happy to stay around.

I think it's fair enough that they are more backround characters ATM, same as Phil and Max.

He won't leave at the end of the year. I will be surprised if the 30th is not live like the 25th...he'll stick around for that. You lucky, lucky people

Since leaving the vic hes barely been on screen how can he earn much money from that?

I think the Moons have had their fair share of screentime over the past few years to be honest. It would seem like a little bit of a hissyfit if Shane Ritchie left a good, stable job just because he isn't the most used character.

The Slaters/Moons were the dominant character for a few good weeks there with Staceys return anyway so he is getting plenty of screentime. Plus with the twins birth coming up and Staceys second return in May, I am sure that will fully make up for the lack of screentime he is getting now.

Whatever the case, Shane Ritchie doesn't call the shots on what happens to Alfie so there is nothing he can really do about it.

He was heavily involved in Stacey's return, then there was the burger van fiasco. I doubt he's claiming benefits.

No,no,no. I'm sorry but Shane came out and said that whilst he loved Alfie being in the Vic, he was really looking forward to seeing the Carters in there. He also said that he was committed to eastenders in the long term because as an actor, it provides him with a stable job that he loves and allows him to provide for his kids. I really wish people would stop with this idea that Shane only wants to be in the Vic and is going to leave because he's not in there anymore.

but to far to us that was the reason he left last time as he was quoted saying that Alfie "deserved to be in there [the Vic]"

I hate how in most Vic scenes he's in there overacting and trying to upstage everyone. It's like bad panto.

You mean the scenes where Alfie's letting his hair down and having a laugh?

I think he's an absolute scream!
