Gmail on iPad 2
Hi
Hoping someone knows the answer to this! When I launch the mail app on my iPad (which is linked to my Gmail address), it seems to be storing all my emails. Is there any way to show emails from, say, the previous 7 days? I don't check them regularly which means I have to keep swiping upwarsd to get to today's emails. My friend also has an iPad2 with a Microsoft Exchange account on it and she can set hers to sync only the last 7 days' email but there's no such option in my Gmail settings. Best Regards Karen |

Hello Karen,
I had to have a look myself as I wasn't sure how to view emails that haven't been read over a period of time but if you go into Mail>Mailboxes>Gmail>and under 'Search' type Unread it'll list unread emails with the newest one first. There's probably a way to filter unread email between select dates but I don't know how you'd go about it. HTH, Neil |

I don't understand the 'swiping upwards' comment as the newest emails should always appear at the top

I don't use my iPad that often for email but when I do, the last email I've looked at is highlighted and I end up having to scroll to the top of the list to see my most recent emails which is a pain.
It would be useful to only show the last week's emails but there doesn't appear to be any setting for this unlike my friend who also has an iPad, but she has a works email account for Microsoft Exchange server and she can choose how many days' emails to display. Hope this is a bit clearer! |
