I can't access my BT Webmail from work any more. My PC runs XP and IE8 and if I connect to the BT Yahoo site I get told that I have to upgrade to a newer version of IE.

Excuse me, BT, but don't you know that IE8 is the latest version that can be used with Windows XP?

Ask your IT department if you can have Chrome or Firefox made available on your PC.

XP is end of life so you should expect more and more things to gradually stop functioning on it over time.

Yep. XP is half dead now. As the months go by, less and less software will be written for it. I think Microsoft have stopped the updates for it now. All it can do now is slowly die off.

My work is slowly starting to upgrade there PCs from XP to windows 7.
Some PCs at my work have gone really slow using XP.
Microsoft stopped XP updates a few weeks ago.

You can download a portable version of firefox which requires no installation, and does not require admin rights.

However, this may still be blocked, depends on how pissy your IT admins are. Obviously not that strict, as they should not have left you with XP for this long.
