Hello Karen,

Which iPod Touch do you have, and which version of iOS is it running?

If it's iOS 5 or later (tap Settings>General>About) and you have iCloud (Settings>iCloud) enabled take a look here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12521

Hope that helps you!

OK, so it's later than OS 5.0, so just follow the instructions in the link that was posted above.

Can you update your iPod Touch to iOS7 at all?

I know when I bought my iPad Mini during the initial set up there was the option to restore my data from iCloud; it synced my contacts, calendar entries etc.

iOS 6 also has the facility to back up and restore from iCloud, so the OP doesn't necessarily need to update the iPod.

What kind of data are you trying to get onto your iPad?

When you set up your iPad did you choose to set it up as a new device or did you chose to restore from a backup?
