End of the season on Saturday and possibly the end of this comp after all these years. Like Swing I feel its just going through the motions now and DS comps are soon going to be a thing of the past ( except TC's excellent football ones ).
Anybody else maybe willing to take it on ? |

What do you reckon guys ? Is it time to knock this on the head now ? Is it becoming a chore having to pick a horse each week ?
I know Dean is doing an external comp for the jumps season, shall we leave it at that ? I am open to ideas and suggestions but my own personal opinion is that DS games are slowly dying out which is a crying shame because thats what brought me to this site in the first place |

With the amount of entrants that you get, I think the contestants will be there When you (think) have little chance of winning, it may keep the interest up Not sure how you would sort out who goes into what division though... I would think that after the initial set-up, it wouldn't involve much more work Anyway, that's my twopennoth

Me and Mrs DG enjoy these comps because they are fun. Some comps on other sites are far too serious. What the answer is I didn't know. If no-one else comes forward I might try and run something but weekends are a bit busy so I could struggle to do it justice. I like dave's idea of divisions to spice it a bit. Maybe a k-o as well. Be a shame if they died out?
Written on a tablet late at night after some holiday beer. Hopefully it makes sense. |

Late night request win please
It's a tricky situation. I love the comps and certainly appreciate all the hard work you put in. I certainly enter far less comps than I used too. The thought of an external site drives me away. I just enter comps on DS for convenience. I like someone's idea of division 1-2. But then would it realistically work? I still will always enter Cheltenham/National comps. Maybe Royal Ascot but seems there's a new comp every other week and more comps the more tedious it gets. If you did a national hunt comp I'd certainly enter. I always come on usually at weekends now, enter the footy comps then leave again. More a casual viewer of forums now than serious poster. |
