Was anyone else getting a bit annoyed last week by everyone's lack of sensitivity towards Jane? Everyone kept coming up and asking her how Ian was doing without bothering to offer her any support. Similarly, Peter got a lot of condolences, but Jane, none really. I, for one, am glad she got to have her proper cry at the end of Friday's episode.

Don't get me wrong, I know she wasn't a blood relation of Lucy but she was definitely the closest Lucy had to a motherly figure, and basically raised her as her daughter since she was about 10 or 11, that was half her life!

I was just getting sick of her answering the bloody door and being walked past.

She got a grief shag from Ian. What more could a woman want?

I think I remember one or two people asking how she was, as well as Sharon saying if she needs anything!

That's true but Denise doesn't really know Lucy that well. She was planning on leaving Ian anyway.

But no one else knew that!? There's not a scent radiating from her that alerts people as to what she had planned and therefore treat her like a coat hanger. Besides she wasn't close to Lucy but she still knew her for years and lived in the same house as her for the past few months.

Jane is a harlot and smashed that mug on purpose to throw herself at a grieving man.

I don't think anyone knows exactly what Denise is going through except Libby. She wants to leave a man who just lost his daughter so she is probably feeling really conflicted. She would feel guilty for leaving Ian but she also probably feels guilty for leading him on, plus she is probably sad about Lucy as well.

Judging from the spoilers she will find it a lot easier to leave Ian in the coming week anyway.

I have to agree with james. Jane and Denise got pretty much the same treatment from everyone, when really Jane deserved more. Although, even Denise could've been comforted a bit more too.

But no one else knew that!? There's not a scent radiating from her that alerts people as to what she had planned and therefore treat her like a coat hanger. Besides she wasn't close to Lucy but she still knew her for years and lived in the same house as her for the past few months.
I doubt she knew Lucy any better than anyone else of the Square until she started dating Ian. Of course she'd still be devastated but Jane basically helped raise her.

Poor Ben Hardy will have to deal with people smashing mugs wherever he goes now because of us.

Doubt they'll be a mug in the land left intact.

I simply adore Jane, hence Ian kissing her on Friday really dampened my weekend - not in the right way... There's just something about her; I see what Masooood sees

I used to like Jane but I don't anymore. She paid no child support for her son. Ian should have ask for backdated support when she offered to buy into his restaurant. He could have owned It outright. She barely saw Bobby hence why she never found out Ian was missing till afterwards. Bobby even cried to Lucy saying he never saw his mother anymore. She decided not to see her son at Christmas opting instead to spend it with Tanya. Jack is a better parent and that's saying something he at least sees his children.
Oh yes her dream to be a chef (like there is none in London) I understand Brett was leaving but why not get a job other side of London and see Bobby off screen? See I thought her dream was to be a mother hence her desperation to adopt. She gets to adopt the novelty wears off and she throws away the child she treats like a toy. She is his mother yet only when it suits her. Currently it suits her didn't for a long time before.

I am surprised Sharon bothered to ask how she was. Ian at least apologised to her when together with Jane they tried to scam 100s of thousands of her inheritance when her father was murdered. You cant profit from your crime and Chrissie illegally sold them the pub and whats more they knew it.

Jane cheated on her dying husband, Ian twice and now Masood she is not a nice person and a worse mother. Remember she told Peter to refer to Denise and not her. She is Bobby's mother yet didn't bother to see him for a very long time nor paid child support Ian was legally entited too.

She is not his wife yet lets herself into the house, tells Denise how to react and undermines her. Refers to Masoods place as "our place" yet its not her place. She is acting like Ian's wife. This saint Jane stuff is BS. I recall Bobby crying for the mother he never saw. Just as well Ian saw to it he got his basic needs, hell Jack Branning even does that.
She is self righteous when she has no right to be.
And lots asked how Jane was bugger all were asking how Denise was.
As for Denise not knowing Lucy that well not true. She knew her for years as she was Jane's friend. She watched her grow up. And when Jane yet again was not around it was Denise who Lucy turned too with her cancer scare.

Finally someone else remembers the cancer scare, I'm seeing all these posts about Denise and Lucy not being close, it was Denise who supported Lucy when Ian became homeless, and helped her out, and it was Denise who supported her and went to the doctors with her during the cancer scare, they were close despite what people seem to think.

She never actually cheated on her husband and most of your other rather OTT angry points are from when she was off-screen and they tried to find valid reasons to keep her away.

No idea what your on about. Fact is she walked out on her on didn't pay for him (that was onscreen) and didn't see him for extended periods. I realise Brett was leaving but she should have had an exit where she was the other side of London and saw her own child on a regular basis offscreen. And what valid reason does a mother pick to hang out with their mate on xmas over their own young son. Anyway not sure why you got personal about it we are discussing a soap afterall but I am amused at the irony.

I feel terrible for Denise she has been shut out and basically ignored in this whole mess. She was there for Lucy at times when nobody else was. And if Lucy wanted her to go to the doctors when she was facing something like cancer she must have felt pretty close to her.
