Wow, what an impact they've made!

Linda Henry up for Best Comedy Performance
Maddy Hill up for Best Newcomer
Johnny coming out to Mick up for Best Spectacular Scene
Kellie Bright & Danny Dyer up for Best On-Screen Partnership

And in the public vote Danny Dyer is up for Best Actor and Sexiest Male.

Congratulations to them

The only one I can see winning is Johnny coming out to Mick.

I think they have some good chances - hopefully they won't go away empty handed like last year (apart from the Special Recognition that Adam Woodyatt got)

As much as I like Nancy I think Johnny should have been nominated instead for Best Newcomer.

I think Maddy may have a good chance for Best Newcomer - I don't think any of the others have a big following...

I think they could win the Johnny scene, Nancy for newcomer and partnership. Congrats to all of them, they are a great family.

She has pretty good comic timing in general. Like the time she called Sharon a "menopausal barbie"

I am glad they picked Maddy Hill for best newcomer over Sam Strike. So far Nancy seems to be a more likable character than Johnny and in terms of acting, I definitely would say Maddy Hill is better.

Shirley has been a laugh all year though, whats funnier than talking about your friend that was murdered.

Before we turn this into a Maddy vs Sam bitchfest, let's just acknowledge it's entirely obvious that EE wanted to give as many of the Carters individual recognition as possible over the different categories. So Sam now has a chance of being recognised for most spectacular scene, and Maddy has a chance of being recognised for Best Newcomer. It's really not about who is the best out of them. I do feel for Sam, though, as his category is up against much stiffer competition. He'd have walked Best Newcomer, IMO.

No, the shock is that Kellie Bright has been nominated for anything!

I would love it if they all win in their respective categories, especially Spectacular Scene & On-screen Partnership!

Love the Carters!

And why is that a bad thing that Kellie an Danny have been nominated for best onscreen partnership?

Because Kellie is one of the reasons that I stopped watching EE for a long while. I'm not overkeen on the family, but I can't stand the complete overacting of this horrible character. I presume that her character is supposed to be like Angie Watts, but she just comes across as someone who is trying to hard.

Also with Nancy she hasn't had her own sl but has still made an impact, that is why it's great she has been nominated.

You don't hate Kellie do you? An actor or actress is not a good reason to stop watching IMO.

I agree. Although I'm slightly disappointed for Sam, I'm still very happy that Maddy has been recognised despite not being given much to do so far. I honestly think this was the fairest way that EE could have done it, as if EE win the Spectacular Scene award it really will all be down to the performances of Sam and Danny (as well as the excellent writing from Daran Little.)
