Should Soap Spoilers come out on a Saturday?
Lizzie Brookes

I know we are all used to soap spoilers coming out on Tuesdays and I have sometimes wondered why they picked Tuesdays specifically but does anyone think they should come out on Saturdays instead? I ask because once I get a 9-5 job in the weekdays I'd have to get up early to read the spoilers online and then rush off to work or buy the Soap News at lunchtime and read it then and while I can I suppose get used to that I hate the pressure and constraints that work puts on the day and might have preferred to enjoy reading soap spoilers at my leisure on a Saturday morning instead.

Thoughts?

I think that my full time job is more important than spoilers. My full time job is what keeps a roof over my head, pays the bills etc. I don't care when spoilers come out - they're way, way down my list of priorities.

Tuesdays the day all the TV guides and soap magazines come out. That's why I've always assumed the spoilers come out on Tuesday.

I am aware that they come out on Tuesday. I just wondered if it would be a lot easier on everyone if it didn't come out on a working day that's all.

It doesn't bother me, I can usually get them before/after my day of erands

I really don't understand your problem. Are spoilers really that important to you that you resent them coming out on a day that you work? Incidentally a lot of people work on Saturdays so to them a Saturday is a working day.

Do you have to read them as they are released?

Just read them on Tuesday evening or something.

Apart from the people whose work is based around them. Not sure they'd want to work on a Saturday.

It is a bit irritating if there's a really exciting storyline but never mind, I suppose I can get used to it.

Loads or people work 9-5 and they manage to read the spoilers. It doesn't take all day to read them. Why don't you read them when you get home? Buy a magazine on the way to work? Read that in your lunch break or go on DS in your break?

Do you drive? If you travel by public transport you can read them while traveling to work, presuming you have internet on your phone as everyone does these days, or buy a magazine.

Anyway, why do spoilers matter so much? Like I said loads of people work 9-5 and it doesn't bother them. I'm not being nasty here but this will probably sound harsh but why are soap spoilers having a impact on your day to day life. Maybe it will do you some good to part with soaps and spoilers.

I read them when I wake up in a morning and then get ready, it doesn't bother me if I'm honest but then again I'm at school and you have the pressures of an actual job.
