I spoke to one a few weeks back who gave me his name and extension number in a text and said we had to deal with him.

I rang today and CS denied all knowledge I'd spoken to him and said they wouldn't put me through to them as a result!

Im guessing you called them to buy something right?

Well they most likely get paid on commission so the 2nd customer service agent is being selfish and not transferring you so they can do the sale themselves.

Apologies, this was their billing department. The person I spoke to was quite clear that I should contact him if any further issues arose, and his name wasn't listed on the notes. Which concerns me more because it makes me wonder if the action he took actually was actioned!

Ah ok. My apologies then.

To be honest orange's customer service hasn't been great recently. I'd ring back and first of all ask the person you speak to what has been actioned on the account. Then ask if you can be transferred if it has/hasn't been actioned.

Indeed, they seem very selective about responding to tweets too.
