I look forward to Lacey's acceptance speech, "Wow. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me. Honestly, you fans are amazing. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. You've always stood by me and I can only give you and our executive producer Dominic Treadmill Collins my heartfelt gratitude. I just don't have a monkeys why I've won this award ."

She didn't speak for her first dozen episodes, just flared her nostrils for the duff duff.

They should show the clip of her hiding behind her magical scarf, brilliant acting She'll probably win, she has done nowt and still got shortlisted.

She should've been nominated for best comedy performance for those scenes

Haha . She is Walford's equivalent of Mystic Meg with that magical scarf . Next we'll see her using Max's bald head as a crystal ball .

I think I mentioned this in another thread a while back, but she reminded me of Michael Jackson when he use to hide his face behind a scarf .

Especially the scenes where she was trying to sneak around The Square in that ridiculous "disguise" with her head draped in a cream scarf while wearing a bright pink coat.

I know. If that is the criteria for getting a nomination, then surely Tracey the Barmaid should've been nominated every year since she first appeared? Or Amy Mitchell for that matter?

She couldn't have picked a worse disguise That storyline really was laughably bad. I'm serious. It was robbed of being shortlisted for a comedy gong

The sl was awful, from start to finish there was nothing good about it. Can't believe they put that up for best sl, I thought the whole events leading up to and after Michael's murder was much better than 'Hello Stacey, Goodbye Janine'

You're not wrong there Her facial expressions made it even funnier, as if she believed that her hideous get-up was helping her sneak under the radar.

Also, her return was so over-dramatic. It was worse than Rose's first return in Doctor Who if you've seen that. So drawn out and overblown, with all the scenes of Kat just missing Stacey and the other way round. DTC seems to like those entrances, he's doing the same with Deano.

Hello there, stranger .

A turbulent week for the United. We just sacked our very own equivalent of Bryan Kirkwood in Moyes .

How've you been TK?

Yes, I was cheering when the sacking was announced. Good riddance!

It was done so Turner would give them the chance of getting another award. It's all very cynical. A blatant cynical ploy for awards. I never realised until recently how important awards are to the soaps. I always assumed they weren't taken seriously and were simply a cherry on top of the hard work everyone puts in. This proves otherwise. It's actually quite desperate in my opinion. I think EasEnders would've been in with a good chance to win a few awards this year with or without Stacey. All she's doing is hogging all the glory from the other characters and storylines.

I really doubt Parish and the rest of them give a monkey's about a public voted plastic award.

Good, thanks . It's been a decent few episodes of EE hasn't it?
I expected the usual aftermath scenes with Lucy's death as you see on most soaps, but it's been done quite well despite the poor lead up to it all.

Me too!
I thought about running out into the street in my boxers and vest in celebration, but bottled it in the last second . He was like Kirkwood the way he was making us into a laughing stock, all in the space of 10 months .

I can see why it was done from a ratings point of view. Stacey/Lacey has proven popular with the masses. But it was overblown and drawn out. DTC should have remembered that while Stacey may have a large and vocal fanbase who will vote for her in every award show, it's not The Stacey Slater Show. Many people don't like the character or don't care about her to the degree DTC and her fans do. The storyline was hard going for someone like me who doesn't worship at the altar of Stacey Slater/Lacey Turner. It didn't help that the storyline and all the characters involved were written incredibly badly.

Yeah, it's been brilliant so far. Hopefully the standards improve across the board, but I'm liking the Beale and Carter stuff (couldn't care less about the Moons)

Haha, epic way to celebrate (or not as you bottledit )

He was indeed the Kirkwood of Man Utd, I remember reading this:

He's also the Ben Mitchell of Man Utd. Blame Moyes lol!

After reading that article, Kirkwood is no Moyes, Kirkwood has won awards for his teams, from that article I gather Moyes didn't More Newman than Kirkwood, all love and warmth he wanted other teams to win.

I bet Moyes secretly supports Liverpool, Arsenal or Man City, but I'm sure he'll deny it

Agreed. The Carter stuff was my favourite up until the last few episodes as the aftermath of Lucy's death kicked into gear.

LOL hilarious article. I like these ones:

3. The Undertaker lost his historic undefeated Wrestlemania record of 21-0
6. Brian the dog was killed (ish) from Family Guy.
8. Ben Affleck was cast as Batman.
15. Miley Cyrus killed twerking.

Moyes has to be held accountable for this .
