So many on here said DTC had ruined kat again because of what she was doing but then After Mondays episode where kat got off she says to Alfie you were right all along it wasn't worth it I should have been thinking of us and are family. So is everyone happy now it's just been swept under the carpet kat committing perjury?

I wish they locked her up, and I hated her preaching about rights/wrongs. In fact Donna/Bianca/Kat are unlikeable characters imo. Newman did a good job with Kat, now I can't stand her.

I have come to the point that I really don't care about Kat and Alfie. I will never warm to them again. Tommy is just great tho, I'm glad he knows what disgraces his parents are.

My thoughts exactly.

I couldn't care less what happens to Kat, formerly a favourite of mine. Her characterisation has been all over the shop since she came back in 2010. Some of the stuff she's done and the way she's acted has soured me against her permanently. Credit to Newman she did manage to reverse a lot of the damage but DTC undid all of that with Stacey's return storyline.

I never cared about Alfie so nothing has changed there

I think she should have gone to prison but I was glad to see her final couple of scenes yesterday, as they were the ones for me that showed she knew she'd made a mistake and is trying to do the right thing now (sticking up for Lucy even though she didn't really know her, referencing that she had too much to lose and telling Alfie that she couldn't abandon Bianca.)

I still root for her, she was selfish in the Stacey storyline but her characterisation is still a lot closer to the Kat that left in 2005 than it has been, IMO. Most of last year was 2000-02 I think.

She committed perjury sending an innocent girl to prison and lied under oath.

But she's female and gets away with breaking the law

No, I absolutely loathe the scrag end. Her, Alfie and Bianca should be given starring roles in a remake of The Human Centipede.

Still think she is ruined
Although she made a tiny comeback last night when she put Bianca and Donna in their place

No, i'm not because of te reasons she stated for thinking she was wrong. It is still all about her and her family - it easn't worth it bacsue of what it could have cost her with Tommy. There is still no remorse for what the potential consequences for Alice could have been. It's ike because she got off that Side of it is irrelevant now and it isn't because she got off because of Janine's testimony - Kat's actions could easily have landed her in prison for years and nobody seems to care about that - on the show.

My thoughts exactly - a willing doormat is never an attractive proposal. In fact - the way Kat walks all over him (and she will again) is one of the few things I like about Kat.

Love this! I would happily pay to see such a film, heck I'd fund it if I could!

Forgiven her? No!

I haven't forgiven her for cheating on Alfie with Derek yet!

However Alfie does seem to have forgiven her and he's happiest when they are a couple and her speech imo was very good and she seemed to realise how lucky she is.

I still think she should have done time though!

I think it's Alfie who's dragging her down. Being back with him has made her lose a lot of her fire. She badly needs more family around her, as scenes with him are just desperate.

It's not about fogiving her. It's about loosing the will to care.

I made countless posts condeming Kat for what she did to Alice and I still think it was completely unforgivable and unjustifable. However that story is more or less over. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that she got off but meh, I couldn't care less anymore. Kat has done may unforgivable things like cheat on Alfie 4 times and still have him forgive her. I remember making a song and dance about this but for me Kat will never be fully recovered. Kirkwood saw to that and DTC stapled it. She may have periods of being better and 2013 was one of those years but she will never be the loveable character that she once was. Her glory day are over.

Actions aside her, her characterisation has been all over the place. Kat used to be a multi-faceted flawed character. Now she's another "feisty" female loudmouth. She has become a character you can leave or take.

Obviously she's allowed to flout the law, she's Kat Slater and the show can't be without her miserable face.

Would you keep Kat if you were EP? Did you care about Alfie wen Nana Moon died?

It wasn't DTC who ruined Kat, it was what's his name
The one at Hollyoaks

It's not bee about forgiveness, more about it's hard to forget, and, in a way I don't think it does ever go and you just forget all they did

-------
Edit:
Just realise you didn't mean the story about Derek lol

So no, that's definite not just faded away. Can't believe she got away with it!

Exactly. The way they had her behaving about Stacey was absolutely ludicrous, it just didn't make sense! Kat was completely selfish without a care for anyone else including I might add Stacey herself who seemed quite happy with her new life and new fella! Kat didn't just try to ruin Alice's life (something she still hasn't expressed any remorse for) but she pretty much put the kibosh on Stacey's new life too. All because she wanted Stacey actually on the square - a bus ride away was obviously a bus ride away too far *roll eyes*

Howling with laughter 'Scrag end', haven't heard that for years, love it!

Well said KitKat. A "I can't believe what nearly happened to Alice because of me ..." wouldn't have gone amiss last night either.

Yet we're supposed to be 'on side' because she says she should have been putting her family first (no sh!t Sherlock) and waxing lyrical about Lucy? *roll eyes again* Something incidentally that BIANCA should have been doing but she seems to have forgotten that Lucy is actually her cousin (or half-cousin if we want to be pedantic but still ...) *MEGA roll eyes*

I haven't anything to forgive, Kat is such a non entity now I don't think I've given one since around 2004 for her character.
