Let me guess, his motive for killing Lucy was because he wanted to make a profit from her funeral, so he killed her himself . Bloody impatient bugger .

And with IAN BEALE of all people, organising her funeral! How much exactly is he expecting to make?! HA!

What about the trailer and the description gives him away?

Exactly. Les clearly didn't think his plan through as everybody knows Ian is Walford's answer to Scrooge . He'll have a hard time getting Beale to depart with a £20 note let alone thousands of pounds .

Poor Lucy. Even in death she can't get her dad to flash the cash at her own funeral .

Inside Soap's front cover is this: Lauren's terror: Lucy's killer was after her!

So that basically confirms what we suspected all along. That the killer got the girls mixed up as they were wearing identical work uniforms.

Yes but when you read the article inside, the above assumption is from Lauren. Lauren thinks the killer was after her. The article doesn't confirm that the killer was after Lauren, it's just taking you down the possibility.

Lauren stumbles across an email to the letting agency addressed to Lauren requesting a meeting on the night of Lucy's murder and she assumes Lucy went to see that person. We know that Lucy actually received a text and went off.

I'd love the spoilers to be true. It sounds like a great story line but i can't see it happening myself.

I think he's one very cleverly plotted red herring.

Anyone I've discussed the possibility of Les being the killer with, and his motive, they find it a really ridiculous theory. I'm with them. I can't work out whether it'd be a mediocre end to the story or just a plain outrageous one. Dom TC has said, when the killer's revealed, everyone should be like "Right, I see that now" but with him, I imagine it'd completely split the nation.

I am sure this thread will soon disappear into the vortex that is the huge LB thread where you cant find anything or have a decent convo about Lucys muder due to the amount of threads being merged into it BUT I see no logical explanation for Les to be the killer I really dont apart from to make a bit of money from her funeral - seems very extreme to me tbh but I guess we shall see

I don't believe Les is guilty personally and even if he was I'd say it'll be rewritten after this leak. Don't forget betting odds are decided from how much money is being on a certain person, Les being the favourite is expected now considering how much attention the leak got! Max was the original bookies favourite and I don't think anybody thinks he was behind it so I'd try not to pay too much attention to the bookie odds.

The Les leak relies heavily on there being other deaths too, until anybody else dies I'm pretty sure he won't be the killer

Why would the Cottons want to hurt Lucy though?

Well, the text that Lucy got could have been from a dealer who turned out to be a very-much-alive Nick Cotton. So he and Charlie would have had reason to silence Lucy.

While he may not be the killer, I do think Les Coker is the the one who gave Lucy the cocaine. The clue is in his name . Coker = Coke.

Who could possibly have something to gain from a complete outsider becoming the favourite with a lot of money being bet on him as a result of a leak

If Ian turns to him for the funeral arrangements, it'll be his one and only connection to her.

I think it's that chick in the wheelchair. She looks like a killer to me.
