I suppose I consider the tasks as having a certain format. The tasks in the finals are different because the people taking part are, apart from the Project Managers, not actual candidates. I suppose that's what clinches it really. I see them as opportunities to prove their worth, but not really as 'tasks' in the same sense.

I don't think Lord Sugar really cares, to be honest. Although I don't think he'll change it back either because last year's final worked. One thing I would like to change actually is the number of candidates returning. I'd like the candidates to be able to choose from any previous people (not all of them would be chosen, they'd still be allowed four each, but they can ring any selection from the fired candidates). They did that in Series 1 (apart from Adele, who didn't return) but since then they have just brought back a certain selection (except in
Young Apprentice where everyone returned, presumably because that had fewer candidates to pick from). I always thought they'd changed it after Series 1 because it wasn't fair to drag people all that way and then not get picked, but they could have done it last year as they were just phoning the people.
