Patrick is really scary !!! Makes my skin crawl but thats what thr story is supposed to do hes very good at acting so is maxine the story feels so real im shouting at the tv saying just punch him , I actually hope dennis saves her and her and dennis would be better matched but it will be her anf dodger in end , I can see it coming patrick will beat her up the baby dies and she has to say shes had a miscarraige theres still so much to this story

.... Or Maxine could have the baby, it'd make for a better storyline if against all odds she got to full term and then realised that being with Patrick isn't the best thing as he's got violent tendancies. The cake scene reminded me of Trevor Morgan (Alex Ferns) in EastEnders when he pushed Little Mo's face in the gravy (December 2001). He had the same sort of controlling behaviour.
I don't see Patrick leaving in a going to prison or waving goodbye in the back of a taxi storyline. Me thinks when his exit storyline does come about he'll go the same way as Fraser Black, DI Marlowe & Paul Browning .... in a bodybag. Anyway, both Nikki Sanderson and Jeremy Sheffield have done a super job portraying a domestic abuse couple, it makes it even more tragic now Maxine's expecting, and even when she tried to explain the reason she had to abandon him at the hospital he was just ready to believe and even made her admit (even though we knew it wasn't true) that she'd made up Jason Roscoe's kidnap. So, I am now wondering what Patrick is doing with Maxine if he doesn't fully trust her. No doubt his insecurities and sometimes hidden agressive behaviour stems from a poor childhood, or bad experience at some point in his youth, it wouldn't excuse his reasons, but it would explain that it's not just because he gets some pleasure about gaining control of certain people in his life. |

Nikkei Sanderson in today's e4 episode was brilliant esspecially when talking to Dennis but you also felt how scared she was with Patrick's and Jeremy Sheffield is also excellent he can be quite a scary villain and his scenes are brilliant.

The Patrick and Maxine story has been my favourite soap story of this year!
Patrick has such a smug, arrogant look about him. A face that i could hit all day long. I really hate the creepy git! But that's what i'm supposed to feel, so the actor is doing a great job! |

I wonder what Nancy will do............ she has a tendancy to stick her nose into things (for want of a better expression) but I wonder who she will approach (if either of them) first............
I just hope that whatever Nancy does (if anything) it doesnt make things ever worse for Maxine |

Nancy saw weeks ago that Maxine had bruises all over her but yet did nothing. She drank some of the "Hollyoaks Character Change" juice and had forgotten all about it by the next episode. The same with how Phoebe is all friendly with the person who put JP in prison.

Jeremy is very menacing with this storyline he is playing it brilliantly; he doesn't need to shout or to be violent to be scary he can do it with just a look and a calm but low voice.

yes, I know that but this is the first time she has seen Patrick physically shaking Maxine - she might have suspected Patrick was abusing Maxine when she saw the bruises but now she has actually seen it with her own eyes

Not since Silas has any character been this dark and creepy.
There's still much to this character that we don't yet know, obviously things in his background that he's done or who knows had done to him. He's like something out of a Hitchcock movie. |

It was totally unbelievable that Patrick would do such a thing in public. He would only ever do it behind closed doors.
