Best value tablet for streaming and viewing on TV

Hi,

Now there are so many streaming services available, I am looking to get a tablet that can do so (i.e. has good wifi). It would need to be able to connect to a TV. Ideally via WiDi (using something like Netgear's push2TV).

I have looked at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 - it seems reasonable, but I was told that the smaller (7 or 8 inch) models cannot output to a TV...

Does anyone know if this is true, or have any suggestions?

I use my seven inch hudl to output to TV most evenings with both Netflix and BBC IPlayer. You need the right cable but otherwise it's dead straight forward.

It is also capable of connecting via Miracast, which I've tried using a Panasonic media streamer but don't use regularly. HDMI is simpler.
