HTC No internet connection via mobile network

I have a HTC Desire and recently I cant access Facebook, Youtube etc. via mobile network but can only access via Wi-Fi so I only have connection at home

I used to be able to access it until I ran out of data so I reset the data count and since then I have had no connection at all, even though it says my phone is connected to the mobile network

Can anyone help?

I had the same problem with my One. I tried literally everything and sort of gave up.

Then I realised I'd been messing around with the data caps you can set on there, and had capped it under my monthly allowance. Check to see if you have put a cap on there and remove it if you have.

There is no cap on my phone and I have no idea what to do

I did a factory reset on my phone and still not working. Its extremely annoying as it works fine with Wi-Fi but if I want to go out somewhere, I can only use mobile network which says is connected but still doesnt work. I have used hardly any data so I dont know why it wont work.

What exactly "doesn't work"? Can you describe precisely what happens?

Basically if I am at home with wi-fi, I can go on Facebook and Youtube.

However, when I am not at home, so I can't use the wi-fi, it says that the mobile network is connected if I enter FAcebook or Youtube, it says connection lost or there is no connection please try again. Is that explained enough?

No idea if it is the same problem, but my partner just started having mobile data connection issues on HTC One after being connected to wifi. The phone was just updated from 4.2.2 to 4.3 and we thought that was the culprit.

Where does it say mobile network is connected? What do the indicators show?

What network is it on and what APN are you using?
