Glad to hear that Jessie has no plans to leave in the immediate future .

EastEnders is never good without Kat, IMO.

I just hope TPTB allow her to explore these layers, rather than recycling stories, particularly the ones damaging to her character.

Yeah, i'm really glad she's sticking around too.

Kat has a lot of unexplored history which I would love to learn more about plus if she sticks around Shane probably will too and DTC will make sure they get a nice big storyline!

Haven't they already explored her 'history', I wish they hadn't reunited her with Alfie again or made her go crazy over st Stacey. Sometimes I like Kat, then other times I dislike her, right now I dislike her.

Whilst I'm not hugely fond on Kat as a character, I really like Jessie. She seems to be very much invested in Kat's background, and the foundations that makes her the way her character is. At least she cares about the direction Kat will follow... I'm sure the same can't be said for some other actors who are more than likely in it for the fame and all. I hope DCT gets Kat right. He really needs to. Unfortunately, it's not looking too promising if the Stacey storyline is anything to go by. That was DCT's first fall. His treatment of both Stacey and Kat, two pivotal characters, was incredibly poor.

She said in the interview she wanted to explore Kat further so there must be more.

Anyway, why are you bothered if you don't like her?

So because I don't like her I'm not allowed to comment on what I think about the article etc, this is a soap forum and if I want to give my opinion on something I will.

I don't think she's talking necessarily about Kat's background or history, "exploring the character" means showing new sides and developing her further.

Which is what Kat and many of the others desperately needs.

Ah, I probably misunderstood then.

It's still good that she's staying though!

I reckon Kat has got a lot more to give, her character needs to be worked on, she hasn't run out of steam yet!

I don't think I have ever disliked her, she reminds me of the childhood days of me watching EE!

I never said that you weren't allowed to comment I just asked why you were bothered. It's just a question.

I am aware it's a soap forum so you go ahead and share your opinions don't mind me!

Doesn't everyone make comments on characters even if they don't like them, I don't get why you felt the need to ask that question.

Im glad Jessie has no plans to leave and Im glad Kat and Alfie reunited hopefully for good because the show needs a few couples and I don't see Carol and David lasting and Abi and Jay lasting neither.

Jessie is a fantastic actress and is too good to lose at the moment. Did you like Kat when she first arrived?

I find her incredibly average, and the character is ruined beyond belief.

This!

I hope they stick together for good as well!

No, I don't think Carol and David will last, he's too slimy and once she gets better he'll be off messing about again.

Jay will end up with Lola I think.

Love Kat but LOATHE Alfie. Unfortunately it appears you can't have one without the other so, on balance, I'd be prepared to let her go.

Kat is one of the most interesting characters I've seen on Eastenders (and I've watched from day one). She's been so badly let down by the writing in recent years. And while I don't mind her interaction with Alfie, his gurning comedy does my head in. I just wish they would pull that back and give him some more dramatic stuff to do as during the horrendous baby swap storyline, Shane Richie was surprisingly impressive.

But she shouldn't be killed off though and besides there are not many characters from the early 00s and the show needs characters from each era in not just a show of a few 80s characters and mostly new characters. Did you think Jessie was good in the You Ain't My Muvva reveal and in the baby swap storyline?

Kat is one of the best characters in the show and quite possibly one of the best ever!
