EE/T Mobile misleading text

Apologies if this has information been posted elsewhere....
On Saturday I received a text from EE telling me my monthly data allowance was almost all gone, and to clink on a link in the text to increase my data allowance until my month ends on 17/5.
Strange, I thought, as I never get anywhere near using up my monthly 750Mg alliwance.
I checked my data useage on my mobile (Galaxy S2), and that showed that I had only used 4% of my allowance so far in May.
I then logged onto my account on the T Mobile (now EE) website. "My Plan" details showed me having 750Mg data allowance per month. When I then went to the "My unbilled useage", it showed my calls and texts used since 18 April.....but said I had "No monthly data allowance"!!
So I called T Mobile customer service, sonewhere in the Far East, I reckon. Charming, helpful guy soent 10 minutes looking into it, keeping me on hold.
He came back to say that there had been a computer problem, I did have a 750Mg monthly data allowance, and have only used 6% so far this month....and to ignore the text.
I could so esily clicked on the link in the text they sent me, and incurred additional costs!
Not impressed by EE. Felt much better when T Mobile stood alone. (I will be joining my wife on Tesco Mobile when my current contract expires in early December, as they have been excellent, both on price and custoner service.)

Not really.

As far as EE goes if you click the link you get taken to a page that shows your live usage allowance *and* if you try to buy any extra add-ons it warns you in big capitals at the top of the page "YOU STILL HAVE SOME OF YOUR DATA ALLOWANCE LEFT." and asks if you're sure you want more...
