Broken my tv screen
A two inch crack going from right to left.
Toshiba 55" 55yl863 Is fixing it an option? I assumed it was a case of just getting a new one. |

It's a TV at work and we have no insurance.,
A quick google reveals I was naive to think screens could be replaced. New TV for us. |

I have replaced occasional ones out of warranty, but only in Sony sets where the replacement panels are usually the lowest cost of any make - and even at that only a few cost less to do than a new set does. The most expensive I've seen are Sharp ones, with panels costing 3 to 4 times the price of the set, and not even getting replaced under warranty (the service agents have to arrange for Sharp to replace the TV). |
