Just a quickie - have looked on the Chrome store on my laptop and can't find my fave iOS apps.
Can anyone tell me if you can get a good radio app (like Tune IN Radio on iphone) on Android - and also the official Sky News/BBC news ones?

Oh ... and also Tube deluxe which gives you news of delays on the tube lines, maps, journey planners etc

If not this might be a deal breaker for me.

You might be looking in the wrong place. You'll need to go to the Google Play Store (just search for it in your browser) and you can search for apps there.

BBC News, Sky News and TuneIn are all available on Android. It looks like Tube Deluxe isn't, and I agree it's a good iOS app, but I'm sure there's an Android equivalent.

I tried Citymapper last time I was in London, and can definitely recommend. Its a bit like Tube Deluxe, but on steroids

Its on Google Play:

Citymapper is amazing. I used it in Paris and it was absolutely invaluable.

Tune in radio

BBC News

Sky news

Also I can recommend this following keyboard (It's a very innovative keyboard) and easy to install: Swiftkey

And also this alarm clock: Timely

And this browser (can customize loads including so it always displays desktops pages and also screen cut add-ons): Dolphin

And finally this music player: PowerAmp

A good selection, but with regards to Timely, I find it sometimes crashes for no reason (well quits) so I am not entirely convinced I'd rely on it in case it didn't work when it was supposed to. But hasn't Google purchased the company? If so, hopefully it will just become the standard alarm clock in the future.

SwiftKey (especially the beta - beta.swiftkey.net that has a permanent numeric row and emoji support) is a definite must too. The best keyboard bar none IMO.

i quite like the stock google keyboard too and am a fan of opera on mobiles the best for text wrapping.

Have you tried Opera Max? Still in beta at the moment, but it seems quite a good way to reduce data usage.

Was going to try but it seems there are issues with KK at the mo.

Tune In radio app is very good.
The travel line app is also good. I have the Scottish version of that app.
BBC weather app is fine to but I do like the Yahoo weather app.
I have the Nexus 7 and the 2012 Version of the Nexus 7.

Tune In was one of my favourite apps on my iPhone. Must rush off and download it for my new phone.....
Why do you prefer Yahoo weather to the Beeb version?

The BBC weather app is ok but it only gives you the weather for today or tonight. The Yahoo weather app also gives you the weather and temp for now.

Rail Planner Live seems better in my opinion. Nicer widgets.
