Help with sound system recommendation
Air Resistance

Hoping for some advice. I'm after a sound system of some sort but in not sure what's best.

Essentially I want something primarily to play my music on, ideally through spotify/itunes on my iPad. I would also like to be able to use it to enhance the sound from my tv when watching films etc... I would also like to be able to play radio, but i guess this could be done through digital tv?

its for a medium sized living/ diner room with a tv, so I'm just looking for something with good quality basey sound that will fill the room. Budget is around £200. Any help welcomed!

Maybe a system like this DENON DM39
http://www.richersounds.com/product/.../deno-dm39-blk

And then some speakers to go with it

Cost is a little more but this should give a really nice sound
Not sure why the link won't go but they have the same here to
The amp even has a sub out if you need more bass.

I bought this one just after Christmas. It's a teeny bit over your budget, but could be just the thing you need:

I use mine connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth. Works pretty flawlessly. Obviously, I use it on my TV, too, and it sounds great on that as well.

Plenty of base if you want it.

The new 2014 model is around £350 I believe, but there's no reason why that 2013 model won't do what you want it to do just fine.

Hope that helps in some way.

Soundbars are OK but Currys aren't. See they are still pushing worthless expensive HDMI leads on that webpage.

Go with anything by Yamaha!

Some great budget Amps that sound as good if better than the expensive brands.

You need to decide whether you want Dolby 2.1 or 5.1. The latter gives you a centre speak as well as two rear speakers. I have a Sony 5.1 Audio system and I like the 5.1 effect on BBC TV HD channels when they do broadcast 5.1. The centre speaker enables voice to be heard more clearly and can be adjusted separately from the other speakers. Most sound bars take the cheap route and only have Front left and right speakers and users may not be aware of this serious limitation
