So I spoke to previous owner and they had fibre through Sky! Everyone telling me that our cabinet had no more capacity however does this mean they think this property is still connected? What can I do to make someone open the green box for me! So frustraing!!

Presumably there is some background to this in another thread which would give people a clue? Starting a new thread only means people lose the thread.

I suppose contacting BT directly in writing and asking them to confirm if your line is already running through their fibre network or not. And if it is already running through the fibre cabinet can they add a note or reset the settings to indicate that it's available to you as a new user.

Something along those lines.

Given the costs involved it seems un-likely OpenReach would provision a new box unless there was very high demand.

You can't speak to OpenReach direct and it's not BT's problem per se.

You need to go through your current ISP or through another one if you planned to switch. Explain the situation to them and ask them to contact OpenReach to see what the situation is.

Well today on my way to work I saw an Open-reach engineer in the box. I did a three point turn and went and asked him about the situation. He said that he's not entirely sure how it works, however he was installing a 48 circuit in there today and that now the box is at capacity, if they needed to increase it a new box would need to be built. Can anyone explain what the 48 circuit means? 48 more lines or does one circuit service many lines?! Am i getting my hopes up for nothing?

It would seem likely that it is one card servicing up to 48 lines (homes).

In case it is a capacity increase you'll need to check daily to see if it comes on-line and then get your order in quickly.
