Maybe not surprising when you consider that was where most of the favourites were.

Basically going to be one of these locations! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categor...nas_in_Austria

Unless the Austrians decide to hold it in some airplane hanger!

Hmm, the televote figures are quite telling. It seems the casual viewer, the average Ukrainian, Russian etc. are a lot more liberal and accepting that one is made to think...

3 - it should be televoting only - this years result show that we did just as poorly (if not worse) with the televotes than we did with the juries.

The song wasn't popular - the iTunes data shows the popularity of the winning songs
The performance wasn't great
The staging - camera angles weren't great

Also (imo) this year was one of the strongest years in terms of competition (sadly)”

I don't think people want the juries reviewed due to the UK doing badly (well, at least I don't). It's more due to Azerbaijan and their suspect results.

I guess Europe didn't like our song very much
(or perhaps begin 26th was the reason!)

After the severe ballad drought we had (wasn't it like the first 20 entries chosen there wasn't a ballad amongst them?), I'm surprised one went on to win!

Wiener Stadthalle (Vienna) and Olympiahalle (Innsbruck) are the only 2 large enough, I think out of those.

Exactly!

The juries are more political most definitely!

Why?

It's a great song! Doesn't mean Molly's song isn't.

I certainly prefer other songs over CotU. Of course, I'd have loved Molly to win, but as I've said before, not sure I understand the point of pretending that our song was the best? Also when Europe clearly didn't agree.

CotU is a great song btw* not saying it isn't

WOW at Finland's results, a clean sweep for Conchita! she topped every jury members' ranking and the televote!

No, they're not.

For example, entirely predictable we got a good placing from the televote in Ireland and Malta

I went to Austria last summer and it really is an incredibly beautiful country. The people who will be travelling there next May will be extremely lucky!

I think the Danes probably thought they were doing us a favour in 26th. It's the only country, other than Ireland, where we did well in televotes and juries

I hope it's Innsbruck, it would be nice to be away from primate, coastal or industrial cities, it should have enough hotels at least.

Excuse me?

First of all, Mei was awful live. It came 13th, wayyyy behind the 10th song Slovenia. Says it all.

Secondly, surely the Danes knew that 26th is kiss of death with the televote?

The anti-Conchita fanpage that started the petitions in Eastern Europe. I cannot wait to see their first post since Conchita's win.
