Me too!

I mean, there are a lot of ballads this year, but out of the 4 songs on Saturday, only one was a ballad (Hungary) so it's not wall to wall wailing

Doubtful that Sweden will send a ballad either (Sorry Jessica), ditto Germany, although Norway would be silly not to!

I'm still sort of questioning whether people actually know what a ballad is.

Agree.
With yet another female ballad I may just watch a re-run of the UMK NF on may 23rd. That was fabulous entertainment and multiple song types.

Got it in one. I've always said (based on absolutely no musical knowledge or evidence) that it's much easier to write and sing a ballad than an uptempo number.

she looks like Gillian Anderson a bit . Not so much scully but stella gibson from ThE FALL

It does sounds a rather Rlapy ending. I bet she cant do the lip growl at the end like conchita though.

After all these strong female moody ballads, I hope the BBC really have gone for something 'interesting'. I hope Australia send something decent after all this. If not, why bother? Just send a couple of idiots dressed as kangaroos and koalas singing G'day Europe.

I'm kinda hoping that its a cheeky reference to the ballad heavy year, but they wouldn't have that much knowledge of Eurovision down under would they?

Either that, or the head of AUS delegation is Katie Taylor and they've hired Bonnie
