Good Morning Everyone.:+))))))))))))))))

A chilly, cloudy rather miserable day here.

The TV programs were pretty disappointing i thought, this year.
All i saw was repeats every day.

Hi there Hicky.

A lot of rain here over night but it's still very mild which is great.

Agree with you about this year's telly. Nothing exciting and an over reliance on blooming chat shows and those year end compilation programmes.

I would sooner have the company of a two year old than any of Chantelle's exes.

Thanks very much for the kind wishes and thanks, JoJo, for the offer of shopping but I am fine at the moment. Thanks also to Honey for being so supportive.!!

I think they have some sort of daft insurance policy involving wheelchairs and getting you off the premises safely.
I have had a row about carrying each of the children out of the hospital myself rather than letting some strange and possibly germy and scabby nurse who I have never seen before do it.
They said they "must" because of the insurance. (they didnt)

It can be disorientating and retired people often go downhill quickly because of it. It might be best to make specific plans for the days when you would have been at work and stick to them.

The difference is huge to me. Does it depend on your computer screen?

I'm sorry you lost yours, Dave. Theres no pain like it, is there?
I dont think you want an actually fierce dog anymore because if they bite the burglers you get prosecuted, just a large deterrent. Any dog would do, but wolfhounds are especially gentle with small children and generally lovely.

Everything I wanted to see was all on at the same time. I enjoyed the Carson bits of Downton Abbey though.

It does.

The only thing we watched at my son’s was Dr Who. We had a TV ban so we would talk. As it turned out we should have had a laptop ban because we were all intent on out computers. I spent my time uploading photographs.

I noticed the good programs, although few, were on at the same time, prome viewing, most unfair, had to record a couple but was very disappointed in general.

When i was last trying to get discharged from hospital after the AAA op i had to prove i could walk all right up a flight of stairs (with living in a house, i suppose), anyway, they didn't know were any stairs were to walk up, one of the workers said he knew where the was some so put me in a wheelchair and set off, he went quite a l;ong way but found what he was looking for, i passed wioth flying colours so could go home.

I don't think being retired will effect me, there's always so much to do, just got more time to do it than usual.:+))))))))))

It surprises me that you can see a difference between the 2 pictures, what difference are you seeing that i can't see?

They tested me walking up a flight of stairs after my lung collapse, too.

I was supposed to go around in a wheelchair and have an oxygen cylinder. When there wasn’t a chair available with a holder for the cylinder one of the nurses let me carry concealed under a blanket.

I thought the second one had much better definition than the first.

I thought the TV over the holidays was bliddy awful. I enjoyed Strictly, and thanked God for reruns of Modern Family.
I see even The Sound of Music reared its ugly head AGAIN.... Actually it was quite pleasant to listen to while I was lying down recuperating.

Do we know who is going to be on CBB next week?

That was one way to get out, a bit unorthodox and probably against the rules.

They were posted before. That’s why I was surprised when you said you couldn’t see any difference – I can even see the differences on the thumbnails.

Mr G does the tweaking on his colour callibrated desktop computer.

I think we all see things differently. For me, the difference between HD and normal tv is very minimal and not worth that much extra money, but others rave about it so they must be seeing something I cant.

The first list I saw looked very good, but then more lists appeared and the last time I looked I knew nobody but Marcus Collins.

If I wait for just a second more,
I know I'll forget what I came here for,
My head was so full of things to say,
But as I open my lips all my words slip away and anyway,
I can't believe you want to turn the page,
And move your life onto another stage,
You can change the chapter you can change the book,
But the story remains the same if you'd take a look.

just sayin

It was, that’s why they gave me a blanket to conceal it.

There was a craft fair in the hospital and I wouldn’t have been able to go to it if we hadn’t been a teensy bit sneaky. The greatest risk to me wasn’t from carrying my cylinder but from my daughter’s rather gung-ho way of steering the wheelchair.

Try this...

I can see the moonglow
painting silver shadows on a rose
coloured land
a world that we walked hand in hand
