Guys need some advice...

Past few days for some reason my phone battery is going down quite quickly, faster than normal. It's like 1% every 10 minutes or so, I took it off charge about 2 1/2 hours ago and it's down to 67% already and I've hardly used it (maybe 10 minutes total). It could just be coincidence that it's been worse since I got the new update 7.1.1 which I did Monday. The phone itself is less than 2 months old and it's been fine but these past few days it's just draining like mad. I've gone through my settings and turned off location services, any auto update things, closed apps but nothing.


Any advice?

Could be one of your apps is hogging resources? You could try Settings > General > Background App Refresh and turn it off for apps that you aren't actively using regularly. This may help narrow down the culprit. If you want to save even more power you can turn off Location Services (In Settings > Privacy) for apps you're not regularly using - especially those that have no need to know your location. Same goes for Notifications.

Thanks, I turned all except one app off in terms if background refresh. As far as I'm aware I've turned off everything I can but it's still going down pretty quickly.

Try recallibrating the battery sensor.

Let you phone run completely out of battery and charge it fully without interrupting it.

Your battery might not actually be running out quicker, it could just be the sensor thinking it is.

Tried a restore from backup? If you've tried turning off all of the obvious things, then maybe a visit to your nearest Genius Bar?
