Is netflix going to be made available to for Europe (particularly Austria) anytime soon?
I realize amazon prime has made an effort, and even though one is able to pay using various payment methods (paysafecard, etc - which is great for Europe) they havent really understood the concept of OV! lol at least not in Germany and I hate watching dubbed movies - especially if I am PAYING for the service!
Any ideas / thoughts?

Netflix is available in many Countries in Europe but Germany and Austria is not 2 of them. The only other European Country I know of where they are planning to launch is France which I think will be later this year sometime?

Netflix are launching in -

Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg at some point this year, it was announced yesterday.

Why not just use a VPN to sign up for Netflix in the US, Canada, UK or wherever, use PayPal as the payment method, then subscribe to a service like UnblockUs or OverPlay for Smart DNS access and problem solved?

You can get Netflix then in Austria and watch stuff from all the global markets Netflix does deliver to?

@Kingdave I am not really sure what you are suggesting... what is VPN and how would I be able to sign up in the North American region if I live in the EU?

Once you've done that, follow the setup instructions for your computer on this page

Once you've done that, just go to Netflix and signup for a free trial, and use PayPal as your billing method. Voila! You have Netflix and by going to m.unblock-us.com on your mobile, you can quickly and easily change which region you view.

You will need to follow the setup process on each device you want to watch Netflix on (smart TV, phone, tablet, PC etc) but that only needs to be done once on each device, unless you have a router that you can update the DNS settings on directly.

You will have to also subscribe to Unblock-Us but it is only a few dollars a month, and you can pay for this with PayPal too.
