Currently have adsl sky but thinking of going to bt fibre 78mbps

1. Is there a way to get a decent deal over the phone ie 'currently with sky, what deal could you do'? We have had a letter for £7.25pm with £25 sainsburys voicher - but is for adsl.

2. How easy is it to downgrade from 78mbps to 38mbps after the 18month contract? The 78mbps has no £30 connection fee attached so might as well get this for the first 18mnths

I got mine for £20 per month including anytime calls, but that was only because they cocked up my order. Which I think is about £10 per month less than what it should be.

It is easy to downgrade from 80Mb to 40Mb at the end of the contract with BT. I've just recently done it for someone. No problem at all but you do have to phone, you can't request the downgrade online (other than maybe in an online chat session with BT).

All BT's best offers are currently FOR starting with their 38Mbps service - "BT Infinity Extra" is currently £8/month for the first 6 months and then £15/month for the next 12 months (full price £18/month) - PLUS £100 Sainsbury's voucher. £30 installation but this is still much better than any "free installation" offers.

This offer is marked as "online only" !

This is for 40GB/month usage. If you need unlimited the offer is not as good - £16/month for 3 months (then £23/month) I believe.
