protective screen covers?

I've just bought some spigen crystal screen protectors for my xperia z2 - sadly not oleophobic as I'd thought!
Anyone know of a good make that doesn't show every single fingermark or scuff? I think they do a glass one but on You Tube this guy said it does make the phone a bit heavier and I'm guessing it comes at quite a price.
Any advice or suggestions gratefully received!

I have always found

To be the best, they do take time to instal, but once on they do stay put, untill you want to remove.

i honestly don't see the point. the screen itself is much tougher than the screen protectors.

This.

And replacing the entire front glass on the screen is actually cheaper than some screen protectors (although also a lot harder)

£15 for the Note 3 protector, I guess you get what you pay for? I always used cheapo ones on my S3 that would last a month or so.

I just removed Tuffskinz from my Nexus 5 and put on a Glass one.

I much prefer the feel of the glass one and the clarity! BUT it reflects like a mofo.

Tuffskinz were extremely good for plastic ones but plastic ones scratch easy, i found myself replacing them every 3-4 weeks. ( I got 20 for like £8 on some mental deal)

I find the InvisibleShield protectors to feel too rubbery and "sticky" or "tacky" and severely diminish my enjoyment of the device. Hence I removed mine after a few days and put it on the back of the phone instead, greatly increasing my grip on the back cover.

I think it's worth it for a screen protector.

Even though I have never scratched a screen (prob because most of the time I've had a protector on it) I know 2 people that have scratched their glass even though it's Gorilla Glass.

Also it does seem to stop finger smudges on the screen also some protectors also stop reflection as well.

I find it worth paying a bit extra for the protectors and also buying off Amazon so I can check the reviews as well. They go on a lot better (workout bubbles) and also seem to last longer workout scratching.

Also the comment about being cheaper to replace the glass even though you can get some glass on Ebay for £6 some phones are impossible to replace without the right tools (heat plate) as a lot of phones the glass is glued to the digitiser/LCD).

Even on something like the the Motorola Moto G you have to buy the glass/digitiser/LCD as one unit and even on Ebay that's £31 and I don't think that's even a genuine one so not sure if it will be Gorilla Glass or if the display will be as good at the original.

You don't need a heat gun (a hairdryer or electric heater will do, failing that, a bog standard oven), and everything else you need comes in the package.

Anytime you buy the glass/LCD/digitizer as a unit then it will be genuine. Glass on its own often isn't, but even non-genuine glass sometimes outperforms the original.

Plus I tend to find screen protectors make both smudges and reflections worse. I'd rather enjoy the phone properly than have it permanently degraded by some protective device that costs more than replacing glass yet not protecting against smashing it. YMMV.

Why do they never mention on ťhe Ebay listings that they are genuine? If they were they would mention it.

I've seen plenty of people online either damaging the LCD or digitiser trying to remove the glass when removing the old glass and can even damage the display if you over heat it.

I've never had a problem with screen protectors as you cannot notice them and I find they do not smudge as much.

When I got my S5 I thought Christ I must get a screen protector soon as I noticed the smudges after a few mins of use.

Just don't see the point not having one when they are invisible and stop scratches to the glass and also smudges.

Umm you can notice them and you often do. Again people have different preferences but pretending they're invisible when they're not is pure rubbish.

Some are better than others but absolutely none are invisible and many make smudges worse.

I know a lot of the cheaper ones can be terrible, but I always get decent ones and fit them well so that there is no bubbles or dust under the protector and also they go right to the edge where the case is so I don't notice them there either.

I'd much have a screen that I did not have to clean all the time for smudges (like I had with the HD2, S3 and S5 when I did not have a protector on them) than noticing I've got a screen protector on if I peel back the case.

But if you don't like them then no worries.

I've had cheaper ones and more expensive ones (£15+) and still find the cheaper ones better, but still prefer none at all.

Again, the standard screen on most phones are oleophobic and smudge resistant, most screen protectors are not.

i got the s-view case for my note 3 but i did use protectors on my s3 before it bricked itself. some were better than others & it seemed unrelated to price.
