So I ordered a small portion of smoked Kippers and somehow got sent £5s worth!
I haven't been charged for the extra (or at least I can't see that I have on the receipt)

Obviously that is far more kipper then I wanted so can I freeze fresh smoked kippers? Otherwise they will go to waste.

Oily fish doesn't freeze as well as others, herrings suffer. Not sure whether the smoking will help but my Mum ordered some expensive ones from Donald Russell and they were sent frozen.

I like the cook in the bag ones with the butter, they're frozen and they taste nice.

freeze them and on defrost use them to make kipper pate? The texture is usually what suffers on freezing so use them in a way where that will be a bonus

It'd be best if they were vacuum packed. If you wanted to avoid freezer burn you could put them in a container and cover them in water.

I always freeze Kippers, I don't get OPs comment "Smoked Kippers" , All Kippers are smoked that's what makes them what they are.
