I've never known a producer to bring back so many characters so close together to each other. I know it's a new actor but still.

I have truly believe DTC knows what he's doing but atm I'm finding EE very dull.

I hope they cast someone right for the role.

Very glad Ben is returning, but I hope we see more character development from the era of Charlie Jones. I really don't want Ben to be this evil, nasty young man. Of course, he's done bad things, and things which aren't really forgivable, but still, I hope we see a different side of him, a more redeeming and remorseful one. I'm glad that its going to be a 'different direction' for the character according to the DS story.

that is very true however Charlie Jones was this innocent kid who had been brought up by his Mam with no phil n his life. Slightly feminine and Phil embarrassed of him. Then Stella goes and messes with him to make the kid psycho, and poor charlie jones been new in the role just couldn't handle the psycho role very well.

The recast Ben was slightly tougher, but still not the overly confident mitchell kid you would expect to be the spawn of phil mitchell.

sorry id rather have one of the older bens back than a 3rd actor playing the part. it does get beyond ridiculous! have him stay away rather than give us a new face

The character will come back completely different , with none of the cleverness that Joshua brought to the table .

Pascoe had that look in his eye where you didn't quite know what he was going to do next .

DTC will predictably pair him up with Johnny , mix in a touch of straightness with some bird , and bounce him off Ronnie from time to time

I think they turned Ben into a murderer too soon in his story arc as a character. He has so much mileage and to turn him into the killer so early on was a massive mistake in my opinion. I'm really hoping he isn't a bland character, and I'd love Louise and Courtney on The Square as well!

If done correctly this could be very good.

Why? I'd rather they got a good actor. The character of Ben has never been 'hot' and it would be totally unbelievable if he came back that way.

I may be in the minority but I thought Joshua Pascoe played the part quite well

'If I had a Hammer' would be more appropriate for Crazy Ben

Could potentially be good if they get a good recast, glad they're not sticking with the previous actor as him and the whole characterisation were terrible.
