I definitely remember the late Spring/Summer vibe being different though, and there being daylight outside the window when it was on, not pitch darkness. That was nice.

Just a more lighthearted, casual feel, with contestants not knowing what it entailed for their careers. THAT makes me nostalgic, yes, and old!

I'm actually surprised that the BBC didn't have a Birthday special on TV tonight to mark the anniversary.... shame as that could have been fab.
