New Project - stream music from NAS drive to non internet enabled devices using Hudl
Hello all,
Having moved accommodation, I am looking to get a NAS Drive to stream all my music from. My plan is to stream my music to two main systems - A Roberts Sound 53 in the Living Room and a Roberts Istream83I in the bedroom. I want to be able to control the albums/songs I stream from my Hudl. a) Is this possible? b) What would be required to do it? NB. I am looking to avoid anything apple. Thanks |

The Roberts Sound 53 cannot stream, it has no form of network connection at all. It can use a USB drive to play audio from as far as I can tell but obviously that is no use for a NAS drive. The only way to use the Sound 53 would be some sort of external streaming device plugged into the AUX IN on the Roberts.
The Stream 83i can stream from your NAS drive (or should do if it supports UPnP so the Roberts can find it). However from all I can find it can only be controlled from an iPhone or iPod. Can't find any reference to a remote control app for any other devices. |

anybody used one of these, or know of any alternatives, then I just need to find an android app for the tablet. |
