Who do you guys think it is? I think it might be Madonna and I'm hoping it is. She is a "shape-shifting dance legend".

I posted this in the Madonna Appreciation thread. At first, I thought it was her but now I don't think it is. Madonna to me is more diverse than just dance.
Also, it doesn't sound like the producers she was been working with on the new album. And I don't think she would give her new single to Billboard to promote like that.
Given that it sounds like Daft Punk, I think it might be Giorgio Moroder who is coming out with a new album.

But maybe my view is coloured by the fact that I'm a big Madonna fan, but I really don't like the snippet too much. It has too much of retro disco feel that is too close to Daft Punk for me. I really don't want her next single to sound like this. I feel she has done the same type of sound before on Music. I would want something more fresh and different than this.

This is really exciting. Imagine THIS plus a surprise performance at the Billboard music awards.

I really hope it is Madonna but it sounds like Daft Punk mixed with Avicii. However many people have been saying on Twitter in recent weeks how great Madonna's new music is. So I'm leaning towards her. She has been working on the album since Jan and her photographer said he was listening to the record a few weeks back trying to think up cover art. Late summer release sounds likely so it fits. Further more Madonna is the only 'dance legend' with an upcoming release planned but 'Vogue' is the most blatant clue ever! lol

I guess it has to be someone big in America or else Billboard wouldn't be teasing it.

Yeah. Imagine if that song OPENED the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday!!!!!

I doubt that is Madonna as she is not scheduled to perform, and J Lo is to receive the icon award. Could it be her new song?

If this turns out to be Madonna then it may just get me excited about her again - Hard Candy was dreadful, and the Celebration/MDNA era songs were on the whole sub-standard and I was sooo disappointed in the MDNA show (my first time seeing her live) but that backing track has a real 'Into The Groove' feel to it which was the song that totally turned me into a Madonna fan in '85 (combined with the Live Aid performance).

Some people on PJ are suggesting that it could be Janet.

Most likely Giorgio Moroder, his album comes out soon and the style of the song snippet is Italian

I was about to post this, I did think it was Madge until I read about his new album earlier... I like the snippet so I'll be happy if it's either tbh!

I'm not 100% sure if this is reliable but someone on a Madonna forum says the clip is from the new single of Gwen Stefani with Pharrell, not Madonna. It does sound like something they could do, more so than Madonna and the producers she has been working with.
Gwen is releasing her third solo album in July.

The clip doesn't do anything for me whatsoever so i'm not fussed who it is!
