Funniest Soap?
Which soap makes you laugh the most? For me, it's EastEnders. I know Corrie has lots of jokes in every episode, but I don't find it very funny tbh.

Eastenders has a darker sense of humor that I prefer to Corries warm hearted stuff.

I'd say Emmerdale makes me laugh more but EastEnders makes me laugh harder. By that I mean, when EastEnders gets it right, with the one liners and little touches, I find it funnier than Emmerdale, but Emmerdale gets it right more often. (Did that make any sense at all?

Well, EE is certainly making my wife laugh out load these days.
Always seems to happen when Ian Beale is doing his ludicrous interpretation of grief. Thanks Adam for making someone smile! |

Soaps are funny when they are awful, like EE in 2013, or Coronation Street now.

Emmerdale is the funniest - val and Kerry are comedy legends!
Hollyoaks second - for nana McQueen alone! Corrie third - humour at it's core but only certain characters can pull it off - the likes of Michelle whinging at Steve etc is not funny at all Eastenders fourth - apart from a few one liners that are funny it's not a particular funny show, but that's ok because that's not what it's strength is. Comedy filler on eastenders is the very worst of all the soaps and should be banned! |

I voted for EE as it's the only soap I watch.
It has a lot of dark drama but comedy moments too, Alfie makes me crack up laughing with his silly laugh and antics, as does Terry, especially when he is with Alfie! Also Billy is funny, and Fatboy. The Carters have their funny moments too like when Nancy punched Mick and then crowned Dexter. |

Used to be Corrie for me, but I think Emmerdale has surpassed it in recent years.

I only watch Corrie and Eastenders, I voted Corrie mainly because of Steve his scenes with Lloyd and Eileen can be hilarious, Norris and Dev also have their moments. Oh and I nearly forgot Deirdre she had me in stiches the other week with her jammie dodgers
Eastenders is getting better at adding comedy moments especially with The Carters.

I suppose Corrie is ok if you like retirement home humour. I find EastEnders funny at the moment, since DTC took over the comedy has improved ten-fold.

For me, Kerry is an example of Emmerdale getting it very very wrong. Can't stand her. Emmerdale, like EastEnders, does comedy best when it's part of the dramatic storylines, not when it's devoting entire storylines to it like Kerry's "wedding" and Marlon and Paddy's pigs.

Corrie is very funny. Emmerdale is slightly funny. Hollyoaks and Eastenders are not funny at all.

For me, Corrie is the best for humour and comedy........followed by Emmerdale - which does comedy/Drama the best.
EastEnders is brilliant at drama - but 0/10 for comedy!! They CANNOT do it!! They are good at witty lines and that's about it! ![]()

For me right now it's EE! Linda Henry / June Brown together is
and the Carters scenes are often a bit of a giggle.CS has gone right down with the comedy route in my opinion. I miss the comedy values Tracy, Mary, Deirdre and Gail often brought quicker Tina leaves the better, she suffocates every scene with her presence!

Its like they can't be bothered writing anything decent, so to make up for lack of effort in writing or acting they just make it out to be comedy. All that bull crap with Tracy stealing perfume and calling Carla a cow was awful, badly delivered. And Mary's stupid comical moments is getting boring now, wish they would give her some decent material than making her an idiot. |

Has to be Coronation Street. Not many shows have me laughing out loud several times an episode.
