Love the BIBs, but find the underlined songs hard to believe. I think maybe Neon Lights, Solo Dancing and A Billion Girls are more likely!

Not going to happen. Because:

The Hits did a deal to make sure Rather Be doesn't appear on NOW 87 just proves how childish the execs at Warner are.

Solo Dancing got to #14 and lasted two weeks inside Top 40 and A Billion Girls got to #11 and only lasted a week inside the Top 40 so those are definitely a no and also, Mmm Yeah has a chance as it's released tomorrow and is played quite frequently on Capital FM which means that the song will most likely appear on NOW 88.

I doubt it. She only got to #15 and she is on the verge of dropping out of the Top 40.

But, it has doe really well with almost no radio backing (looking at you Radio 1). I haven't seen the video on music channels either really.

And songs that did worse featured on Now! 87.

Tujamo & Plastik Funk - Dr. Who!
John Newman- Out of My Head
London Grammar - Hey Now
American Authors - Best Fay Of My Life

And 'Gorilla' by Bruno which didn't even come near to charting well was on Now! 86,

Dr Who, Out of My Head and Hey Now were all released after the NOW 87 track list was unveiled.

There's so many songs that I want to be on Now 88, there just isn't room for them all. However, I think that Now That's What I Call Music series should have three CD's per album so that more songs can be added to each release.

There should be 22/23 songs on each of the discs. Therefore, between 66-69 tracks into total for each Now album.

I know they would never do that, but I feel it's a good idea as more people might buy the albums if there is a wider choice/range of songs on the CDs. Also, lots of people complain or are dissatisfied with the selection of songs. This way, more songs could be included so there will be less disappointment.

2014 has so far been pretty boring for pop IMO so I don't have particularly high hopes for Now 88 (It's a shame, because all 3 of last years were brillliant! - Now 85 in particular). Now 87 was one of the weakest in a long time.

I really hope MJ makes it though. He's never made a Now album (apart from one of his 80s Motown tracks) so it would be great to finally see him featured. Now Sony have a big hand in the series i'm hoping they'll get this done!

If you mean his appearance on NOW 4 with "Farewell, My Summer Love", he still appeared on a NOW from the main series. On the other hand, NOW 88 could get a record breaking 13 number 1s if Warner learn to co-operate.

Rough Copy and DJ Fresh look unlikely features if you peek at the iTunes chart.

What I do like about the pop of 2014 is that it's gone back to being pretty dancey, even more so than the R&B style and it brings back some memories of the 90's with a lot of tracks, such as Shift K3y & Sigma, the Clean Bandit track is outstanding, shame about stupid record company politics ruining the posterity of the NOW series, Rather Be was a glaring omission from NOW 87.

Am I alone with the thought that the NOW album covers could do with a bit of a refresh, we constantly get the same generic sort of thing, I remember some of the early covers and they were quite bold creatively and were quite individual. I've always thought that they could cover current events and make an artwork based on the current year, eg in Summer 2012 it could have reflected the sort of summer Britain was having with Olympics, jubilee etc but 82 was another generic summer cover of course.

I've collected them all now down to NOW 8 on CD, but won't go far enough to pay hundreds for the elusive NOW 4 on CD.

Rough Copy will most likely be on NOW 89 if the song does good in the charts. The reason it's not doing good at the moment is because radio stations won't support the song. DJ Fresh on the other hand is now at #9 on iTunes.

The song last time I checked was in the mid 70's, and therefore probably won't feature if the tracklist is being announced on Friday. Out of last weeks crop I now doubt Mmm Yeah will make the tracklist. It's set to drop out and only peaked at #34

NOW have confirmed on their facebook and twitter pages that they will be revealing CD 1 Track 1 today. If it is revealed to be "Rather Be" or "Sing", then that means we will definitely be getting songs from the Warner label.
