It's not such a surprise that Jenna is leaving as she has just been an extra in the café for ages now, not contributing much. Having said that, I did enjoy her scenes with Andrea in the hospital. Can't wait for her to discover "Andrea's secret".

Agee with ewoodie and Maria_Robinson that she could have been an ideal gym receptionist and maybe her character could have been explored a bit more. With Kal's extended family arriving soon maybe she could've hooked up with his daughter or become friends with her. Jenna has had no romantic interests since Sophie and it seems strange she hasn't explored this further.

I get the impression the writers haven't had many ideas of what direction to send her.

That'll do nicely then. Poor Craig Charles, first his best mate gurns the family pet to death, then whatsherface leaves and now Jenna is getting the boot.

I wrote before on here somewhere that Jenna is too nice for Corrie, and I was right then.
The girl seems too intelligent, too thoughtful, too gentle and too genuinely caring to lower herself to be used as one of the standard Corrie half witted, excitable, hysterical females who are generally devoid of morals and to wrapped up in themselves to notice that other people apart from the immediate object of their affections exist.

Jenna is too much like a real sincere person and she doesn't screech and shout enough so I suppose that means that she isn't interesting to the wise ones at Corrie headquarters. Rolls eyes. Why do they bother.

Just so as you know Jenna, I liked you a lot.

Agreed. Best of a bad bunch when she arrived with Mandy, but warmed to her when she dumped Sawphie.

Not a major loss but I was just beginning to like her. I though she was great in the Roy/Hayley storyline and made a refreshing change from Fiz and Anna.

Thank god, I stopped caring about her when she gave up her career for the pathetic whiny Sophie. The introduction of Lloyd's family was a joke and failed miserably.

Hopefully not...I like both of these characters.

Poor Jenna, her number was up when they stuck her behind Roy's counter. Would have been better if she'd got a job more true to her experience and *gasp* had to commute, like 90% of people. She could still have had sls with Lloyd, Sofa etc and developed her own personality. Oh well, ta-ra Jenna and pass the cupcakes!

I hope they give her a decent exit story line. Something a bit novel and involving some original thought from the script writers.

How about Mandy being taken ill off screen, and Jenna dropping everything to go and care for her?

I'm guessing her feud with RictusGrinAndrea will escalate and she'll try and force Lloyd to choose between them.

I'm further guessing that Lloyd will choose the one who's shagging him senseless every night.

I was just starting to like her character what with the Jenna vs. Andrea sort of thing going on but after her relationship with Sofeh ended and the glorious Mandy leaving, she should have gone a long time ago really

Why thank you very much. I couldn't be a script writer though as the show would be a cross between hollyaks / saw. I loath 75 % of the cast and would gladly torture then kill them all off!

What a shame they never actually gave her anything to do. I'm trying to think of the fantastic roles she played in these fantastic stories that Stuart 'Fantastic' Blackburn is talking about.

I really wouldn't hold my breath, given how shoddy 90% of the exits under Blackburn have been- Brian, Paul, Mandy, Stella, Gloria, Tommy etc. The only half decent ones have been Hayley and Karl (getting set to have things hurled at me!). The writers simply don't care about Jenna's character so I imagine it'll be extremely low-key

........and Sophie, PLEASE, D.D. But I don't think any of these will go; the producer has his favourites and, however much the viewers dislike them, they are immovable.

That's a good point actually - she's have been a very good choice for the gym receptionist - medical background (even if she can't practise), fit, fairly good looking and intelligent so would be able to pick up admin quickly if she doesn't already know it.

But they clearly couldn't be bothered with the character.
