Next week we see Corrie's Tina get pushed to her death from the balcony at the builders' yard- she dies
In hospital the following Monday. Given that the show is out of its regular time slot and that the actual incident occurs on the Tuesday night, what will the overnight figure for the episode be? With her final scenes actually airing on 2nd June I don't think we'll see a significant boost, plus we're now into the summer months when soap ratings always dip. I think it could be 8.1 million.

It will be quite high as it's wedged between the bgt semi finals.

Even with it being out of its usual slot? Corrie's figures have been less than stellar of late.

I don't watch Corrie much but I will certainly be tuning in for Tina's dramatic exit. Cannot wait to find out who kills her.

Have to take into account that up to 10% of viewers will be Stuart Blackburn and his ever growing collection of hats.

If people know about it and then they're waiting for the other half of the semi finals they will probably tune in.

Last year on Monday Corrie got 9.5 million (36%, 672k +1) for the 9pm Monday episode.

On Tuesday it got 8.7 million (34%, 591k +1) but was opposite The Apprentice.
Thursday got 8.5 million (36%, 450k +1)
Friday it got 8.5 million (581k +1).

No ep on Wed because of Football.

I really am finding it a struggle to understand how on earth corrie won the best soap drama at last nights bafta there story lines of late resemble the same kind you would expect from the scriptwriters over at WWE predictable, Lame.
I dread the soap awards as i have a feeling they will triumph there as well

Wow, those figures from last year are remarkably consistent considering that it was the crap surrogacy plot that was the mainstay throughout the week. The show didn't even hit 8m at any point last week so I'm not at all hopeful of it replicating last year's success. Considering that Hayley's death didn't break 10m in the January overnights it's highly unlikely that Tiba's death will get anything close to that.

The Michelle Keegan effect should entice BGT viewers and the murder element should, on paper, promote a higher figure than last year. Tuesday should see a high peak... 10.5m? 11?

I'd like to think 9-9.5 million all week and BGT up all week too. Depends on the weather. I think Corrie will be well over 8m all week long though.

Will also depend on if they do promo on-screen. Yet to see any ads or a special promo other than what's on ITV.com at the moment.

That award is usually based on one or two episodes. Each puts forward what they believe to their best episodes of the year, and the committee will choose from those. So it does not actually represent a whole year of good drama.

Sadly I think the days of 11m overnight for the soaps are now well and truly over. It's been over two years ago since Corrie managed this feat, and that was Becky's exit. I do agree, however, about your special promo point. Online trailers are not enough, they need primetime TV trailers to help reel people in.

With the Michelle Keegan effect... perhaps! I imagine there'll be a lot of press during BGT week. But I agree 10-10.5m peak is more likely.

I suppose she does get a hell of a lot of press coverage, in comparison to other stars in the show...

I'm not a Corrie viewer but in tune in for the odd 'big' episode and am considering tuning in to see if it lives up to the hype.

9 Million across the week....It is in the middle of BGT which it self will have at least 8m so Corrie will have a huge lead in and out all week.
I expect ITV will do some sort of trailers aswell.

Getting media coverage for Corrie and big ratings is all this is about. Whether Corrie actually gave a sh!te about the actually prog remains to be seen.

BIB To be seen next on ITV2, a reality show - Michelle and Mark get wed? Wouldn't surprise me.
