I did deliberately entitle this Toad not Todd, because that's what he reminds me of. That puffy cheeked, smug grin of his give me the bloomin' creeps. And why do he and Marcus constantly march up and down the street? Where are they going or where have they been? Do neither of them work anymore? Grabbing each other and kissing in every scene is completely inappropriate, gay or straight. Would that really happen in real life? I know loads and loads of gay couples and have never ever had to witness slobbery kisses in the pub at teatime. Yes, Corrie, we know they are the new street couple, but we don't have to be led by the hand to take it in.

Considering that Todd has ruthlessly pursued him and created havoc in the process, I just can't accept that Marcus would agree to date him. It seems completely out of character for someone like Marcus who has morals.

The actual route cause of this is Marcus. As the last gay man in Weatherfield - apart from Sean that is

I am still bothered by the fact Marcus is going out with a man who split up his relationship and constantly goads a woman who apparently cared about. Can't wait for him to leave, and hopefully Toad goes with him. Marcus always seems to have the same bored expression, no matter the situation.

King Todd. An excellent bloke.

Toad (love it ) Grimshaw used to be such a nice caring lad when he first appeared. The writers and producer have ruined him. And in the process have ruined Marcus too who was my fave character in Corrie before he and Maria became a couple. What a shame
.I hope Todd leaves with Marcus, there`s not a lot going for him in Weatherfield anymore.

"Grabbing each other and kissing ...is completely inappropriate" "Would that happen in real life"?

Why is it inappropriate? Yes it would happen in real life. I live in central London a short walk from Soho and I can assure you there are a lot of gay couples who kiss openly. Not only that but Manchester where Corrie is set has a large openly gay community too. I have gay neighbors who are openly affectionate and gay friends who do the same. I don't believe you "know loads and loads of gay couples".

How did I just know that some small minded person would say this. So so predictable. And for your info, I do. And not homophobic in the slightest. Methinks you protest too much.

I'm going to need to see some written apologies to Todd on this thread ASAP.

Top, top fella.

I dont think the kissing in public is a question of them being a gay couple - I think it is meant to show that Todd thinks he won the battle for Marcus and kisses him in front of Maria to rub that fact in her face ??
I wonder if he'll lose intrest now maria states she's no longer intrested in marcos ?

and yet you started the thread off homophobically. Did you bother to read it after you posted it?

I didn't actually. I did say, gay or straight. Why is that homophobic. Why take it personally. Every time someone has the gall to utter an opinion on this forum that doesn't comply with the PC gang, then everyone jumps on the bandwagon. Believe me, I did not wish to offend anyone.

hahaha. I find it hilarious that you have to make excuses for me at all. No-one asked you to. I I'm a granny of 8 by the way.

I thought the stupid and childish behaviour of the two grown men coming down the stairs in Eileen's house was very distasteful and disrespectful to Eileen and anyone else who happened to be in the room. Grow up, both of you.

Well, you write like a 12 year old

God help your nephew with views like that

Carla used to basically ride Peter in public as well, most unpleasant.
Its not about the gender of the couple, its just bizarre! No one does that over the age of 13.

Is Marcus not leaving anymore then?
