The only thing that irritates me about Lesley Garrett is when she suddenly breaks out into song mid-sentence! Other than that I like her.

She's too too gushy, everyone is wonderful, beautiful, sexy, etc etc. And when she suddenly sings Aaaaaaaa in mid sentence, it does my head in!

She doesn't take herself too seriously, as shown when she teamed up with Pauline Quirke and Linda Robson on that 'Jobs For the girls' programme....
I agree; Lesley is fab. And I thought her specs were great! She's a welcome addition to Fame Academy.
What is the point of writing horrible stuff about Lesley. I think Lesley is a fantastic person and if u r so intent on critising her than u can only be jelous. I doubt that many of u can sing and dance as well as her and as 4 the glasses I thought they were funky.
I've always liked Leslie Garrett, but I can see how she wouldn't appeal to everyone - but she does to me.

I think you're fighting a losing battle there. I usually just ignore any messages that contain txtspk. Maybe if no one answers them they'll learn to type correctly.
Anyway, on Saturday I was amazed that after ten minutes Ms. Garrett still hadn't done her usual 'AAAHHH' halfway through her sentence. Must be a new record. Bet it was killing her not to do it!

The point is, that her glasses looked cheap and awful, making her face look somewhat squat. It's not just Lesley - loads of people on telly seem to pick ridiculously badly suited glasses...
Apparently, people still use the word 'funky'!!!
