Ok, so it appears you lot cannot understand perfectly simple shortening of words so HAPPY NOW! I will translate my previous message but I cannot help the spelling mistakes as I am a terrible speller.
I said: What is the point of writing horrible stuff about Lesley? I think Lesley is a fantastic person and if you are so intent on critising her than you can only be jelous. I doubt that many of you can sing and dance as well as her and as for the glasses I thought they were funky.
So is that ok? Because it is the best that I can do!
Her glasses did not look cheap and awful at all and yes, people still dod use the word funky.

I have never been able to bear anything at all about Lesley Garrett.

If you have to be as appalling as her to be rich and famous, I'm quite happy with my little life.

It's come a long way from being the "cool" alternative to Pop Idol when you have Lesley Garrett on the panel of judges. X Factor got the wife of one the most outrageous rock stars. FA2 got the ugliest Bee Gee.

Wait a minute. She's too full of herself? Unlike, say, the other judges?

No, but the other judges are irrelevant in a thread entitled 'Five Words for Lesley Garrett...'.

If she's no worse than the others, or indeed, less bad, why complain about her?

Imagine that, say, FA producers drop in to see what viewers think, believing for some reason that this forum might tell them. They see all these complaints about Leslie. Would they think:

1. Viewers don't like Lesley G. Better not use her next time.

Or:

2. The existence of this thread has brought out complaints that wouldn't otherwise be made. Indeed, for all we know even more people think the other judges are even more full of themselves and Lesley is the most popular of the lot.

Another FM started a thread about a person that I have never liked and I responded. Who reads it and what they think it tells them is of no concern to me.

I didn't say it should be of any concern. But if you don't care whether anyone reads your posting or how they understand it, why write it at all?

Let me try it another way. Do you think Lesley is more full of herself than the other judges are of themselves?

In another thread I said she was a great singer but a crap Judge. Now I have to say that the past two nights she has picked the best person to stay but has been over ruled by the other two idiots who keep picking that Gina !!!

What else has she done recently? When I first saw her I thought she had been on Strictly come dancing, then I realised not. I know she is a famous opera singer, but I am unlikely to have ever seen her sing, so why is she so familiar to me?

She did do Celeb Come Dancing.

She always comes across as being highly strung & very nervous when speaking publicly but she was, & maybe still is, Britain's top soprano & her comments are always positive, encouraging & more knowledgeable than the other judges.
The BBC don't know what to do with Graham Norton - why didn't they have him as a judge instead of the Orange-man?

I found 'too full of herself but then so are the other two judges' impossible to condense into five words (as well as veering off topic).

On a less facetious note, Veri, if you feel that the balance needs to be redressed, you could start a new thread, but perhaps this thread specifically about Lesley Garrett is not the place?

She can be annoying, but for my money she's at least a positive happy person.

Effortlessly positive in fact, which is nice considering the amount of judges on these sort of shows breaking their necks to be nasty negative a**holes.

I take back what I said about her on the first page of this thread. I found her irritating beyond belief on Strictly Come Dancing, when she keeps bursting into song, but on this show, I find her to be fair, and seems to be a fun, happy person, who is contributing greatly to the content of this show. So I apologise to ya Lesley.

I like Lesley G. She always sounds positive and smiles but actually she gives acute advice and makes a lot of constructive criticism, like a good teacher should. If you were a student you wouldn't just want to hear from some sarky guy that you were rubbish but that if open your mouth a bit more and do bla bla bla you could sing better. That's all she's trying to do. The students seem to like her and appreciate her attempts. If you think she just gushes niceties then you're not listening or don't know anything about singing. I admit she gets a bit excited but, hey, she's a diva.

Got to say I find her incredibly annoying and switch channels now or press mute, when it is her turn to comment.

Five words : Where is the remote control?

You've got to admit Lesley was on fine form tonight. How anyone can say they don't like her after she told Richard to sod off and then proceeded to smother him with her muffler, I don't know. This was the highlight of the show for me! Lesley is fantastic.
