I'm on a David diet! He'd eat all the whipped cream anyway so no worries there hee hee

Yeah, I think something nasty is going to happen to him when he goes off looking for "something blue" too

I don't think David will die, given that...

Spoiler
Bianca commits herself to a dodgy deal with Alfie, after having money troubles in the following week. Surely she'd be focussed on her grief and supporting Carol if her Dad had died a few days earlier.

I also doubt that EE would kill off another big/legacy character so soon after Lucy.

But who knows?

I wouldn't put anything past Bianca!

I've said this so often I am boring myself now! Why why why do directors and writers hunt out old characters (be them fantastic actors), give them the chance to come back into a soap and then the actor decides to leave - with the door open for another return.

We all know its hard work, but please coming in and out too often does detract from the character they are playing and the ability for writers to make any depth to the character.

Michael French is leaving - AGAIN so please make it his last. Good actor but we know Bianca is leaving and Carol is not too hot at present so are they all going to be killed off slowly but surely.

Think we all have to accept our part in this. We are so quick to moan and not accept new actors and characters written into soaps, we are quick to tear them apart and not therefore give the writers a chance to put depth into new ones, that they have to keep bringing back the ones we like or the ones we used to like and then find they have nowhere for the character to go.

OK rant over.

He hasnt decided to leave he was only on a short term contract and made it known he would leave when it finished so they knew what they was getting themselves into

It has been done to death Him leaving and letting Carol down ..please don't go down that route AGain! Let them get married ..wish he wasn't going AT ALL and as for that Nicky ..she looks like a human version of a blow up doll ..and acting not her strong point ..not buying him running off with her

I suspect David will go off on his search of something blue with every intention of going to the wedding. Maybe he is mugged and left for dead. Carol and Bianca assume he has done a runner and give up on him.

In the hospital, they cannot identify David as his wallet/phone were stolen and no one reported him missing. Carol/Bianca only find out what happened when David regains consciousness a couple of weeks later. Carol realises that David will always let her down somehow, and ends their relationship. Bianca urges David to leave the Square so Carol can focus her efforts on fighting her cancer. David leaves tearfully, doing the right thing for Carol.

I agree, I hate the idea of him running out on Carol again, especially as he has been so supportive of her through the cancer sl. I know the kiss with Nikki is a plot to break him and Carol up and I hate it. I don't think the wedding will go ahead, probably because of Bianca sticking her big nose in.

I wish Lindsey was leaving too and then they could leave together and finally have their happy ever after but it ain't gonna happen!!

He can't leave with Nikki though (at least that is the one good thing) because she is staying on.

I hope not and I can't see it happening to be honest. Abso love David Wicks and will miss him InThe show it hopefully it will mean a return to Casualty, just as long as Michael French is still on our screens

I honestly don't think they're going to kill him off. He's a beloved character and if they give him anything less than the same after-death treatment that Lucy got, they'll be accused of not doing him justice. It will completely take away from Lucy's death if they kill him off, which is the last thing they're going to want to do right now.

I think that what will happen is that he'll get delayed for a genuine reason on his way to the wedding. Carol will assume that he's got cold feet, Liam will tell her about Nikki, and when he turns up everything will explode. After much soul-searching, him and Carol will decide that they'll never work long-term because of her trust issues and his commitment issues. And then he'll leave to give her the space she needs to get over him.

Why does he stay in that f**cking Holby sh** and that casualty crap for fuc**ng YEARS but can't do the same for EE, where the character is actually fun, interesting and challenging.

I reckon its the commute to Elstree! Either that, or he hates Patsy Palmer - either way, his departure means the show is now pointless and I won't be watching anymore - though I'll be looking in to see the conclusion of the Nick Cotton and Lucy Plots!

Why can't people just stay as long as I want them to.

BIB - I know, how dare they leave before we want them to

I am a Holby fan and can take or leave Casualty but I would MUCH rather have Michael French play David Wicks than Nick Jordan, any day of the week!!

I have a sneaky suspicion that Carol will die in this storyline and i think it will have something to do with that, David leaving, maybe kills himself, his undying love will remain eternal? Sorry for being a bit morbid.

With a Julia's theme at the end of the episode.

They don't kill him off, he has a heart scare doesn't he?? I'm sure that's what was said. I reckon he's late and they assume the worst so Liam tells Bianca about Nikki - it all blows up and when David turns up late - Carol already knows, they all get into an argument and he collapses with heart problems. He'll be ok, but Carol tells him she just cant trust him given his history and packs him off.

If he does go i can imagine it will be something to do with his gluttony. Maybe having sex with carol and he chokes on a chicken wing he is eating.

Hopefully not, I'd be very disappointed if he was.

Oh dear. Could be a red herring of course but David had jaw pain in tonight's episode. Is he going to have a heart attack? It might not be fatal, of course but I have a bad feeling about it....

It can be a sign of heart problems, yes. Also, joking aside, all the food that he has been eating can't be good for the old ticker, either!!

Well, I was right about the heart attack, it remains to be seen if it's fatal. I guess we will know by Friday anyway

What if he dies / or is killed on his wedding day? In a way (if Michael French decides he is done with EE for good) I would prefer him dying than just the old predictable running away for the umpteenth time. I think he really loves Carol and would not run off on her again so what else can they do but kill him?

Maybe he is the next victim of whoever killed Lucy..................”

I agree.
