This. If Phil was seeping with Lucy instead then would he still go into the Vic and Caff as usual as if nothing happened?

No

He betrayed Ian and he deserved everything.

I have said before his support of Ian could be out of guilt.

But even if it is, nothing will happen to King Shit of Turd Mountain.

TPTB will make sure of that.

I saw a bloke kissing a girl that looked about 10 years younger down the pub today. I'm gonna murder her for good measure, then ban him from the pub, the park, Boots, my nan's anniversary party, the launderette, and that old antiques shop down the high street.

It's understandable that Ian might want him to stay away from him but Phil had no right to ban him from almost all the square. Who does he think he is?”

Agreed.

Exactly, and remember years ago he had an affair with Stacey and she was about Lucy's age.

Make sure you bring Alfie with you or you won't look intimidating enough.

Spot on.

Did not feel an ounce of sympathy for that balding ginger sex maniac . Hopefully, Philth will kick him out of Walford for good . For once I actually support Philth's actions!

It was way over the top, it was just nearly a month prior when Philth and everyone was having ago at Ian over Nick's funeral speech.

Max's is a idiot, but again consenting adults, it may be disgusting to some but it's getting ridiculous the way the lord of judgement has to befall characters who have done wrong, especially when its a laughable threat from Lord of the Turds and his crappy sidekick Alfie as his back up!.

I actually did feel a bit sorry for him yes. I can understand Ian reacting badly (she was his little girl) but everybody else doesn't really have a right to judge. At the end of the day ahs was an adult and it was a consensual relationship - he didn't rape her, there has been no suggestion he was involved in her death.

I suppose it was his not having come forward as the secret lover and being involved in the funeral they were damning him for as $uch as anything but it was very hard for him to get out of the funeral without telling the truth of their relationship.

I replied to the OP without reading the thread - I now see many of these points have already been made by others.

I'm disappointed Ian didn't punch Max in the face outside the church. I guess that is to be expected from Squeal Beale. Never been one to throw punches.

Ian (and his family) is the only one who derserved to be angry in all this.

Phil should remember the names Dawn Swan and Ruby Allen when spouting his hypocrisy.

Eastenders has the most hypocritical of characters. How old was Janine when Ian slept with Janine in 2002/03 when she was prostituting herself 21 was it?

Agreed but I think we can forgive Ian for lashing out. This was her daughter and he probably saw it as her being taken advantage of by this older man who he considered a freind. She had just been murdered. I don't think he wanted anything to tarnish his memory of her either.

Phil (and Alfie) however had no place at all, especially considering all the immoral things he's done. Max and Lucy we're two consenting adults. Phil on the other hand paid a guy to take a teenagers virginity. Now that is disgusting!

No. No sympathy for him at all. Phil etc shouldn't have judged him, but it's just real life that people would hypocritically judge someone for something they themseves have done.

The reason it was wrong imo, was because if Lauren had found out, she would almost certainly return to alcohol, which could kill her. Yes, Lauren is responsible for her own wellbeing now, but Max shouldn't be using his sexual disorder as an excuse to do something which could (and most likely will) jeopardise her recovery.

No, why?

He followed his dick as usual and ended up with trouble.

And Phil and the fat sewer rat from Flushed Away!

He has done nothing wrong. Ian annoyed me the most. It's all about him and the way he feels, not Lucy or anyone else. Can't wait for Denise to run off with a decent bloke. The Weasel.

As has been pointed out, Lucy was a responsible adult when she was with Max, she was hardly an innocent virgin, she has been with quite a few men herself.

I don't like the way Eastenders are taking Max.
